Hi

My 5 year old is allergic to any diary products (even anything containing whey)

it exacerbates his excema dreadfully, we use organic rice milk here, although it

is an acquired taste and did take a little while for him to adjust, now though

he would eat his GF cereal and rice milk allday every day if i let him.

My mother was allergic to cow's milk when she was a child. Her parents got a

goat and she did ok with goat's milk (but in that day and case it was fresh,

unpastuerized). Who knows if she would have done better off milk altogether?

Wondering if anyone here who has an allergy/sensitivity to cow's milk can

successfully have goat's milk/cheese without any reactions? Is there casein in

goat's milk?

Any input, positive or negative, is greatly appreciated!

,

If goats milk doesn't work, I have found Daiya cheese a good alternative.. I

make cheese and mac , pizza or grilled cheese with it and the kids love it (

and don't react).

Thanks so much to all of you for the responses! I guess I should have been

more specific...my kids really like soy and almond milk, so the actual milk

is not the problem - it's the cheese that we just can't seem to find a good

substitute for. I was at Trader Joe's yesterday and found some sliced goat

cheese and bought it, but I've been too afraid to try it yet :) Both kids

have significant behavioral reactions to milk and I don't want to open up a

can of worms, but I guess experimenting is the only way to truly know.

Go to YouTube and search EFT - Emotional Freedom Technique. It might take

a while, but I have boyyen rid of many allergies using it. Email me group if

you want additional detail. There seems to be a great deal of emotion with the

allergy of milk. It is generally more than just the enzymes lacking.
