Guest guest
I read a couple of posts about someone not eating solid food and feeling cured from autism (?). Would you mind explaining a little what you mean. What exactly changed? Something like not feeling foggy in the head? Sorry, I am trying to understand a little bit what it is like to have autism so I can understand how my son feels/sees the world. This is very interesting. Do you think it is not eating solid food or is it the elimination of all foods and replacing it with soy drink? many thanks Chris
Guest guest
I can only ascribe to what my son has told me about how it feels to be him....he eats food by the way...I would never think of making him live on a liquid diet. Not only would nutrition be a concern, but the quality of life he'd not have in drinking his food. but from being metal toxic myself and having brain fog issues in the past....I can tell you if I eat sugar..I get fog. If I eat something I'm allergic to I feel like crap. It stands to reason that someone would feel better if they stopped eating whatever they were allergic too, and that would happen if someone were to stop eating food, And then of course eventually, you get malnourished and begin to feel sicker. Even on nutrition shakes, you're not going to get what you need nutritionally. Soy will shut down your thyroid eventually if you consume too much of it, then you have other problems aside from autism. Starving the brain is never a good thing. Soy also gives my kids the trots....so many autistic kids don't tolerate soy at all. While I'm not and don't know the extent of what he's speaking about. I do know that eliminating stuff your body does not tolerate is huge in improving how you feel and how your brain works. Just this week I got on CLO and the first day I took it, I had more energy and felt less foggy....so what we eat definitely matters... Just my take....I know, not that you asked for it... Guest guest
One of the reasons we gave up on special diets was that the more food we eliminated, the more we would have allergic reactions to food. GI problems did not get better for us with diet, and it seemed like almost everything triggered some kind of GI problem or acid drug like reaction. I think one of the reasons my son became more picky had to due with the lack of variety in his diet, but it also had to do with all his GI issues and possibly difficulty swallowing. Our only solution was to support the gut with good enzymes and treat yeast and bacteria. I still see uphoric reactions to sugar, rice, and sometimes dairy, but we just do our best to keep things in moderation and use enzymes as well as other supplements. I have a friend who is tube fed due to gastric parisis. She can no longer eat or drink anything but water because her stomach has been paralysed by abusing her diabetes. She lost a good amount of weight and is so much healthier now, but she really misses food. > > > > I read a couple of posts about someone not eating solid food and feeling > > cured from autism (?).
