Hi, have you tried taking him to a chiropractor, especially one experienced

in Applied Kinesiology?

This is where I would start.....

This is the very FIRST thing I'd do ! Doctors are definitely not God and

your son is telling you through behaviors

that he is in pain and something is not right. A. K. can work by testing

different muscle areas that are in relation to organs

and the Chiro. can tell which area's are problematic by the weak areas. You

can also go as a surrogate and your son can

be tested through you if he won't cooperate. Make sure to find someone who

knows what they are doing. We have a great

one and he also accepts insurance. They can also find food allergies, etc.

I would at least start getting him adjusted at the very least.

No. Hadn't thought of that, but he was in an auto accident 2 years ago.

Complained of his neck and shoulders, but his doctor said it was probably

just soreness. What is Kineisology?

You have probably heard it referred to as " muscle testing " . It is not a

solution, just a controversial diagnostic tool, bordering on a religion.

I would rather suggest seeing a craniosacral sacral therapist for 4-6

sessions, especially if there is a history of trauma (car accident). You

can search for one here in your area:

http://www.iahp.com/pages/search/index.php

Make sure to select someone who _only_ practices CST, not a massage

therapist or physical therapist who just dabbles.

The Chiro I went to did this testing and I was able to eliminate several foods I

do not tolerate and eliminate much of my pain. An excellent idea!!

Sometimes you have to think outside the box and our emotions and allergies

are definitely related

to illness. I wouldn't' say religion, it's part of the whole picture of

doing chiropractic

and generally improving health.....

Head injuries can lead to uncontrollable rages. There is some name for it, like

" head injury syndrome " or some such. I would give supplements which provide

brain support, like vitamin b, fish oil or coconut oil, glyconutrients and sea

salt. My experience has been that nerves and brain tissue can heal more than

conventional medicine claims it can.

When my now 22 year old was little, he went through a period of beating his head

against the floor. In recent years, we have been able to discuss it. Pain

helped him focus. As I understand it, it is the only sensation that lights up

all areas of the brain simultaneously. He did in part to interrupt thought

loops he couldn't get out of and basically " reboot " his brain. He typically

did this at bedtime.

I bumped my head a couple of years ago when I also had a cold or some other bug.

After that, I became mildly dyslexic. Treating for infection and taking the

right vitamins (mostly B vitamins, to support the brain) has helped. I still

have mild problems. It hasn't fully resolved. But it isn't real impairing,

like it was for a while there. I kind of have the issue on the back burner

while I address more serious problems. I kind of think it can be fully resolved

at some point and I kind of figure some day I will make it a higher priority,

when am no longer basically overwhelmed with more pressing health issues.

Good luck with this.

First thought that came to my mind was have you done a parasite protocol?

Wouldn't hurt. I'd look at PANDAS and up your yeast protocol.

[ ] Has anyone seen this--explovisve rage

Hi all,

I may have posted this before, but really need help, or at least advice.

My son is 17. When he was younger, he was prone to self-injurious behavior.

For the last few years, his behavior has been reasonably stable. He would have

periods of sleeplessness and the foods he would eat were mostly non-existent. He

has had allergy problems since he was 5 years old and taking every allergy med

there was. The last thing the doctor put him on was Allegra, which he doesn't

tolerate well. He is severely autistic and mostly non-communicative. About 3 or

4 years ago he started having such severe digestive issues that he was referred

to a GI doc. Endoscopy-inflammation,acid reflux, hiatal hernia-prescribed

Prevacid. 2 colonoscopies within 2 years. 1st the ileum valve was locked down

and had to be forced open. 2nd-doc said was good, found only spots of

inflammation in colon--antispasmodic prescription.

Now the problem. Out of the blue, he started having meltdowns, basically at

the same time 7-8pm. Not every night but mostly. He will be fine and for no

reason start mashing his face into the computer screen or tv screen until his

nose is swelling. Then he will start beating himself in the head, saying " My

Head " . When it is over, it is over. If anyone interrupts the process, the rage

is exhibited toward them. When it is over, he is fine, but totally out of

control during the episode. His ocd behavior has escalated during the rest of

the time.

In trying to determine what is causing this, I have backed off of all

supplements. I am considering possible seizures. He spends a lot of time in

front of the computer. Any ideas would be appreciated.

This is the short version.

Thanks,

Drissia

explosive rage is seen in my 5 year old when his hippuric acid level is elevated

(indicating gut bacteria), usually due to too many antibiotics.

He had a colonoscopy done less than 6 months ago. The GI doc said they checked

for bacteria, parasites, candida, and all kinds of other stuff. If he has

problems with any of this stuff it is not in his colon. I understand that you

can have yeast all kinds of places. He had been on probiotics for a long time,

but we have no other yeast protocol. I tried to give him a drop of gse right

before all of this started. It looks like if it were coming from something I

gave, when I took everything away it would have stopped in short order. It

calmed down, but didn't stop. The frequency and severity have been less until

yesterday, when I tried enzymes again and he had a major meltdown last night.

This time instead of Trienza, I tried Kidzymes, thinking they would be less

potent and that would be a good place to start.

I do thank for for the input and will check these things out one at a time. He

is so fragile right now, I am following the advice to do only one thing at a

time and very slowly.

My son's doctor thinks he may be having some type of seizure. He is going to

schedule an MRI and EEG. The blood work he did this week shows really depleted

iron(11) and slightly low ferritin. He has now prescribed iron supplements.

The only thing that he eats now he didn't 3 months ago is a bag of Cheetos about

5-6 pm.

He actually only eats a small handful on the way home from the local

market/convenience store. He had 3 episodes this week. I thought it was the

enzymes, because that seemed to coincide with when he was taking them. But he

hasn't had any of those in a week or so.

But as I joke, 'no natural ingredients.' Lots of interesting chemicals in those

Thanks for the response. He walks in the room. You can literally see the color

drain from his face and his lips turn blue. He will then start to mash his face

into the computer screen and hit it with the palm of his hand. By that time he

is literally falling apart.

I will do my best to follow the advice on the reports and the Cheetos. He hasn't

had any since his last episode on Thursday. He still gets upset over something

we don't understand but tells us he needs to swing.

His ocd behavior has escalated during the rest of

the time.

supplements. I am considering possible seizures. He spends a lot of time in

front of the computer. Any ideas would be appreciated.

There is a current thread (pardon the pun) going about parasite protocol - check

Wouldn't hurt. I'd look at PANDAS and up your yeast protocol.

behavior. For the last few years, his behavior has been reasonably stable. He

would have periods of sleeplessness and the foods he would eat were mostly

non-existent. He has had allergy problems since he was 5 years old and taking

every allergy med there was. The last thing the doctor put him on was Allegra,

which he doesn't tolerate well. He is severely autistic and mostly

non-communicative. About 3 or 4 years ago he started having such severe
