Guest guest
I don’t think the diflucan will be enough.. (I know my yeast habituated it to quickly).. (in order) GSE, biotin, caprylic acid, pau d’arco, candex might all be needed, you might need to rotate.. and use a LOT of probiotics. Andy 7 years old 47 pounds EXTREME YEAST (according to everything I have read from all of you about symptoms on this forum) He was also tested about 2 years ago from Dr. Bradstreet who said my son was higher in yeast than most of his 3000+ caseload. We haven't been able to see him or afford him in a long time, but our local doctor is helping and willing to help. HOW SHOULD I PROCEED? Currently he is on Diflucan once a day. Obvious GF/CF/SF diet Just started Cutler protocol last week with both ALA and DMSA. (Vit C, E, BComplex, P5P, Milk Thistle, Chromium, Molybdenum, Magnesium, GABA, Taurine, Zinc, L-Carnitine. Now what? In order of importance? We have tongue clicking, rolling of the tongue, sliming everything, repetitive sounds, biting his arm, pacing incessantly, biting the tongue, some insomnia (which melatonin has helped with), hilarity, slapping his face, unwillingness to push out a bowel movement, screaming for no apparent reason.....etc.....help? I want to help him the most effective way possible! Any ideas? Thank you all so much. Maybe someday he can be a testimony to others. Right now, we are the needy ones!! Guest guest
No sweets is the most effective protocol. We also use Candex, Candidaise, and coconut oil. If there is yeast after the child eats, give activated charcoal. If some foods or supplements seem to keep causing yeast, cut them out of his diet. You said you started with both DMSA and ALA. I would suggest using one or the other and in very low doses. I am on 25mg DMSA and my kids are on 8 and 10mg DMSA (ages 7 and 12). We did ALA for awhile last year and earlier this year and it was real hard on my little guy. He was only on about 10mg ALA at the highest and that was way too much. > > Andy > 7 years old > 47 pounds > EXTREME YEAST (according to everything I have read from all of you about symptoms on this forum) He was also tested about 2 years ago from Dr. Bradstreet who said my son was higher in yeast than most of his 3000+ caseload. Guest guest
I second Liz's suggestion: No sweets. Also try to up the probiotics that you are giving. Please make sure you are not giving sweets in any shape. Sodas, Fruit juices and even fruits can flare up yeast. Also, starchy vegetables like Potato, Sweet Potato etc also not suggested to use. Another thing to avoid is Corn, a common allergen that can cause yeast. There are four groups of suppements you can try: 1) Enzymes: Candex or Candidaise 2) Specialty Probiotics: Threelac 3) Herbals: Garlic, Oregano Grape Extract, GSE, Biotin, Pau D'arco, Biocidin, Cumanda 4) Homeopathic: Aqua Flora Notes: 1) I tried Threelac, my daughter didn't tolerate it, so we are doing herbals. But many parents told me it works very good. 2) I never tried Aqua Flora. Some parents reported a great success. Guest guest
Can you buy a good source of that that doesn't taste too much like coconut (which my girls hate). We do use Tropical Traditions expeller-pressed CO, which doesn't taste like coconut. Guest guest
How do you dose this? Do you cook with it or give as a supplement? > > > > > > Andy > > > 7 years old > > > 47 pounds > > > EXTREME YEAST (according to everything I have read from all of you about symptoms on this forum) He was also tested about 2 years ago from Dr. Bradstreet who said my son was higher in yeast than most of his 3000+ caseload. This has helped my son so much, I can't even begin to tell you! Sherry
Guest guest
If you ferment the coconut water long enough-it becomes so tart that there is no taste of coconut at all. Thats also an indication that the probiotics have completely taken over....
