Guest guest
Hello, I was reading one of the documents in the file about ratio of DMSA to ALA. The document said, : " A 1:1 ratio seems to work fine. A ratio between 1:2 and 2:1 is best " Can anyone give their experiences with either 1:1, 2:1 or 1:2 ratio of DMSA/ALA.....we are starting today after school. OR should I only start with DMSA to begin for a few rounds? Guest guest
I think most give the same dose of DMSA and ALA, and when given together are given every three hours. That's what we do. Congrats on starting your journey. TJ ________________________________ From: Wrenn <ajwrenn@...> Sent: Fri, October 15, 2010 6:08:44 AM Subject: [ ] DMSA / ALA Ratio? Guest guest
Liz, What dose are you going to give....  My son weighs 65 lbs, so I was thinking of doing 12.5 ALA and the same for DMSA but then bumping up the DMSA to 2:1 given Andy's comment about 2:1 or 1:2 being best..... I am starting with my son today....should be interesting. From: lizcurran70 <lizcurran70@...> Subject: [ ] Re: DMSA / ALA Ratio? Guest guest
One of my boys is also 65 lbs. and he's done nearly 30 rounds. We got to 16mg ALA/10mg DMPS (rx) no problem, but 16mg ALA/25mg DMSA was not good. He has yeast and underlying infections which become more of a problem because a lot of DMSA lowers neutrophils. I am chelating three kids and in our family we use more ALA and less DMSA. Andy has said that 5mg DMSA will still pull some lead, so I will use 16mg ALA/5mg DMSA next time. But there are others who are fine with 2:1. Sorry if this is confusing! Having said all that, 12.5mg ALA might be a little high for the first round. You might want to do 10mg. Cheers, Jo > > > > > > Hello, > > > > > > I was reading one of the documents in the file about ratio of DMSA to ALA. The document said, : " A 1:1 ratio seems to work fine. Guest guest
Hi , My son is 52lbs so we started with 8.5 of the DMSA. I was thinking of doing 1:1 but now you have me wondering about that. I had to give me son 2 shots for school last week so Im pretty sure I made the right decision on holding off on the ALA for now. Been doing it 17 hrs so far. If you want to write me off list you can. Us newbies can give eachother moral support. ;o) Liz > > > > >
