Guest guest
This may or may not help, I am by no means an expert, but after our son had vomitting and liqid stools during rounds 1-3 I wondered if giving him mineral or electrolyte enhanced water might help. I started alternating " Smart " water, " Evamore " water and " Fiji " water which all have different mineral/electrolye contents. He didn't vomit or have diarrhea again during a round and we've now completed nearly 50 rounds. Can't say for sure it's the water that helps, but might be worth a try. > > Hi. My daughter is on round 31 and she has been predominantly fine on each round (9mg ALA and 9mg DMSA - she weighs 19kg). The problem is that on some of the rounds she complains of excruciating headaches and then she vomits. After she has vomited, her headaches are better. During these rounds we stop until the next round. This has happened about 5 or 6 times. Does anyone know why this happens and what can be done to alleviate the headaches? Please, any help will be greatly appreciated. >
Guest guest
Around here that is migraine type issues and we prevent it by increasing vit C and magnesium. > > Hi. Guest guest
, thanks....will try it. Are you saying that I should increase Vit C and magnesium only during the DMSA/ALA rounds as this seems to be the only time she gets migraines? Do you perhaps know why she would get migraines only during some rounds? Has it got to do with the detox or is she having a reaction to the DMSA/ALA? > > > > Hi. Guest guest
I am not currently doing a formal chelation protocol but I get severe headaches which precede vomiting episodes and, after vomiting, the headache is better. It is clear to me that something is coming out of my system. My subjective experience is that these occur when I am going through a healing process " too fast " and my body can't find another means to dump the toxins fast enough. So I would try lowering the dose of chelator and see if that puts a stop to it. The other thing I would suggest: When she does get these headaches, see if you can get her to drink grape juice. Unlike a lot of other things, grape juice doesn't burn when it comes up. It can make the process less miserable. (It's a tip I got from my mom many years ago for dealing with morning sickness. It's helpful whether you are pregnant or not. :-) ) Good luck with this. Michele http://www.healthgazelle.com http://www.kidslikemine.com http://www.solanrail.com > > Hi.
