Guest guest
My chiropractor is a strong believer in spinal decompression (DRX 9000 is the name of the machine he uses, I believe). Tons of testimonials in his office. My issue is a curve, so I haven't tried it. I will back up the recommendation for a chiropractor over surgical treatment, though! It is also important to find a chiro that knows their stuff. Ask around. If the problem is minor or limited to one disc, chiropractic adjustments and exercise might be enough to keep it at bay (but I'm no expert). Keep hydrated. My husband has a chronic disc problem and uses Prednisone dose taper packs every time he has a flare up. He swears by it, but I'm getting on his back (no pun intended ) to go the non-pharmaceutical route. You have to take the Prednisone right when the flare up starts, though, for best effect.
