Guest guest
I am wondering the same thing? > > I noticed that Dana from Dana's view(not sure if she is on this list)said she used ALA alone to chelate. Is there any reason to not use DMSA prior to ALA? Why would someone use ALA alone? Trying to ask all the questions before we begin. Also, how do you know when you are " done " ? Is it primarily through testing? We have had hair testing before with one dd. I do have access to a chiro that might help if I need tests ordered. Thanks for your help! > Tracey >

Is there any reason to not use DMSA prior to ALA? The reason for me, was that DMSA had some potential side effects that I was not comfortable with, plus ALA is what is required to remove metals from the brain. ALA supports the liver, and is a relatively natural substance. >>Also, how do you know when you are " done " ? I knew we were " done " when giving ALA caused major problems, instead of correcting anything. During the process, ALA caused yeast overgrowth until about round 50, so don't confuse regression because of yeast, as " problems " that would signal you were done. But at my house, at roughly round 100, ALA started causing problems. Before, when he was " on " round with ALA, he was improving, but after about round 100, when he was " on " round he regressed. >>Is it primarily through testing? I " tested " my son by observation of symptoms. Dana
Guest guest
Dana, when you talk about rounds are you basically saying " weekends " - (friday PM - Monday AM) - so in essence one hundred rounds would take approximately 2 years? > > I noticed that Dana from Dana's view(not sure if she is on this list) > > > Yep, still here. > > > >>said she used ALA alone to chelate. Guest guest
Hard to fathom... but chelation typically takes 2-4 years. Guest guest
> Dana, when you talk about rounds are you basically saying " weekends " - (friday PM - Monday AM) - so in essence one hundred rounds would take approximately 2 years? A " round " is however long you go, from the first dose to the next time you do first dose. So if you are dosing every weekend, a " round " is one week long. If you dose every other weekend, a " round " is 14 days long. For my son, it took 2-1/4 years, because my rounds were usually one week long, but occasionally I gave a break for certain things.
