Can the dosage be increased at each 3 hour increment or by daily increment? The general rule is to keep dose the same for 5 rounds you DO NOT mess with the dosage during a round. If you go 5 rounds with not noticeable gains or side effects you increase dosage by no more than 5mgs. > > What if we are unable to get my son to take the chelators in the middle of the night? Is it good enough to continue the 3 hour schedule when he is awake or should we go to the " replenishing " rest period? You absolutely do not continue a chelation round if you are unable to give a dose night dosing is mandatory or redistribution starts and you will do more damage to your child. Night dosing isn't as bad as many think it will be. If you are afraid about it you could get up a few times and do a trial night dosing without the medicine (if you'll give it with syringe then do that with juice only or if you'll mix in pudding or even empty caps if that is the method you'll use during chelation). > > Our NP tells us it's important to give the DMSA on an empty stomach (2 hours after meal or 1/2 hour before meal) so the DMSA does not bind to any foods. She wants him on 1000 mg daily (he weighs 65 pounds). Is that too aggressive? > We donot give chelators with regard to food. Chelators are given by the clock, period. They do not bind to food or minerals. Do not dose according to this doc total dosage for the day is irrelevant. Read the files and stick to Andy's recommended dosages. Increase slowly or your child could suffer a lot of side effects. > She has also given us a lot of supplements to support his body. > Read the files and make sure you are giving the proper amounts per Any's recommendation increase any that need but sure you aren't giving anything that is contrary like Glutethione or EDTA. Guest guest
Thank you so much for your reply! My son has been waking up at 3am the last couple of nights. Maybe he is subconsciously getting ready for the chelation schedule. I will ask about the ND about the glutathione b/c she has him on nebulized glutathione and some of the supplements do contain glutathione. > > > > Hello, > > > > Starting chelation in a few days for my son. > > > > From postings and FAQ (thanks for those!
