Guest guest
To everyone who's rheumy's are acting like some of the problems I've been reading about aren't related to RA I just want to say. I feel for you. I don't remember who it was, but someone mentioned how they were treated like swollen legs was a 'girl thing' I don't blame you for looking for a new doctor. That's ridiculous. I'm really lucky. My rheumatologist really listens to me and when my knee and ankle was really swollen he added methotrexate and folic acid. When the swelling started having an effect on my circulation he increased the dosage. I'm not real keen about it, but if a slight increase in my dosage helps to alieviate the swelling and the circulation problem then I'll deal. I know he'd like to see me be sympton free. Guest guest
Ohhhh Nooo..I didn't know that.....my GP was talking about some circulation problems I was having ..could lead to a Stroke.....We were looking at my blue toes on my left foot.....which I didn't know they were blue myself ...til we were looking at my foot. And we got off on that subject.....and didn't go back to the Neuropathy....I'll be sure to ask her when I go back in. Thanks for pointing that possiblity out. My Mom had a stroke the morning before she died.....she had diabetic neuropathy. Carla > > Carla has your doctor ever suggested that because of your Neuropathy you may > have a higher risk of stroke? Please check this out....my mom suffered from > something similar in her legs and feet before she passed away suddenly from > a stroke, she hadnever been informed that she was " at risk " . > > I'm not trying to be an alarmist here but it did upset me when I realized > that she was in a high risk position and no one did a thing about it. > > Dorey > www.LivingWithRheumatoidArthritis.com >
