Guest guest
hi, I need HELP! My tooth broke, and maybe I'm crazy but I taste an aluminum foil flavor a little bit, maybe it's " fresh " amalgam surface there. I am going in tomorrow to get it dealt with- I'll get a crown, they recommended one for that tooth just 2 weeks ago (has an old crack. Tonight there was a little rock in my millet) Long story short: can I nurse my baby? I'm gonna get mercury exposure for sure-- maybe already am getting fresh mercury coming from the filling. More info: My baby has Down syndrome, and is taking a supplement called Longvida Curcumin. It is bound with a lipid and it's claim to fame is that it actually crosses the BBB, bringing the curcumin into the brain for neurogenesis and other wonderful things. BUT if that's true, then can it also transport IN mercury or other contaminants? I am breastfeeding and need to know when/whether to stop (and pump and dump...) because I do not want my baby's brain to get any mercury at all. I guess my real question is...is she at any higher risk if she's on BBB crossing stuff like she's on? Should I stop the stuff only? Stop nursing, or both? Thanks Liora in Beijing
Guest guest
While you find out whether it is an amalgam or something else, l wouldn't nurse the baby, supplement or not, by recent exposure the metal is flowing in the blood and could easily end up in breast milk. Guest guest
Absoultely continue nursing. As for the supplement I will leave that to others as I'm not familiar with it. Probably is Ok to continue it, but don't take my word for it. Perhaps you can also contact the manufacturer.
