While 52 rounds is significant, I'm guessing you will need many more.

You could try some other things to help with the symptom in the meantime, such

as brain enhancers like vinpocetine.

Connie,

Do 52 more rounds. I found my son progressed from true ASD to ADHD-like and

(hopefully), chelation-willing, off the spectrum entirely. I am guessing we

have a little over 100 rounds under our belt (4 yrs, on/off).

Honestly, though, what supplements do you use to address the ADD behaviors?

Magnesium, fish oil, GABA (never tried it), zinc?

Personally, I think getting the lead out is what helps my son the most with

attention and processing. DMSA does that better.

Good luck to you. The wait can be very frustrating and exhausting!

Hi Pam,

Really appreciate your feedback. He is taking Magnesium, fish oil, EFA,

zinc, selenium, etc. We've never tired GABA or vinpocetine.

According to Andy, symptomatic relief of attention deficit can be had

with tyrosine, forskolin and/or DMAE. See Amalgam Illness.

Connie, I also have ADHD. I've also found tyrosine to be helpful; however my

nutritionist advised me to make sure I'm getting enough of the cofactors that

the body needs to covert the tyrosine into the neurotransmitter, dopamine, that

is associated with ADHD. I was told they are Iron, folate, niacin, B6 and Vit.

C.

I've also found that a reduction in sugar/sweeteners has been helpful,

especially at breakfast. I try to increase a number of amino acids (tyrosine is

one) at breakfast by including some whey powder. For example Gaba, glycine and I

think taurine have a calming effect. Gaba is an anti-anxiety

supplement/neurotransmitter that works great for a friend who has such issues.

Beware of amino acid balance since they affect mood. This will provide more

info.
