Guest guest
I am looking for information about the scheduling of vitamins. Currently I give everything in the morning which is only a portion of what I understand my son needs. I would like to know what can and can't be given together and what needs to be split into several doses throughout the day. I am trying to get him nutritionally supported so that I can do chelation. Was originally planning on starting the end of October, but his gut is such a mess and he is so low on iron, I would like to get some other things in place first. Any help would be appreciated. Guest guest
Hi Drissia You don't list exactly what you are giving, but I would like to share a tip: Do NOT give minerals together with oils(e.g. CLO)/oil containing vitamins (.e.g. Vit E/k2) for this mixture makes what is known as " soap " and it is not digeastable, so the body will just eliminate it w/o benefit. Guest guest
You will never be able to fix his gut before chelation. The problem with the gut is caused by the metals. We start with a multi powder and add any other needed supps, like zinc and magnesium, into that and give it throughout the day. Guest guest
TJ, Can I mix ALA with coconut oil? And where do I apply it? Do you know if I can test my childs liver without going through the DAN? What supplements do you give your child on chelation? Hope I'm not asking too much! I'm kinda stuck, not having money for the DAN and my 3yr old is taking valtrex (about 1 1/2 months now) and I don't notice that much of a difference. The doctor prescribed 2ml of fluconazole each night, and I don't know if that's enough or not and my son has been stimming more. Will ALA help with ADD as well As autism? Thanks! Guest guest
I think you are asking about making Transdermal ALA. Not sure about the coconut oil. Does it absorb completely like hand lotion? Andy said to mix the ALA with a quality lotion. The dosing and frequency is the same as oral chelation, 1/8-1/2 mg per pound of body weight every three hours day and night for at least three days, then take at least the same amount of time off. Most of us start Friday afternoon and end Monday morning to work around the school schedule. Is there a reason to check your child's liver? You can probably get the test without a doctor through Direct Labs. Supplements during chelation on and off round. There is a list in the files section. Basically though the most important are antioxidants like C and E. Chelation causes oxidative stress. Get yourself a good multi powder and add to it. Get one without iron. We use this one: http://www.vitacost.com/All-One-Nutritech-Rice-Base-Multiple-Vitamin-Mineral-Pow\ der-2-2-lbs Then mix it in with your child's food or drink throughout the day. If the ADD is caused by the metals, chelation will help and ultimately cure it. My older son was moderate on the Autism scale before we started chelation about 19 months ago. He is now off the spectrum and I would say he is coming up on ADD. Hopefully he will pass through that as well. Takes a long time to ge the metals out safely. Guest guest
Thank you! What type of lotion do you use? I thought while taking diflucan or valtrex you needed to check your liver. Do you use the multi powder to get vit c and e or you use that in addition to? I wish there was a way to limit taking so many different supplements since I work full time also. Thanks for your help! Guest guest
We use Lubriderm right now, but have used others. Seems to absorb very good. The multi has enough E, and then we give extra C. Don't know about diflucan or valtrex, we never used them. That's why we mix all the stuff together, makes it easier. Guest guest
I'm not sure if you can ever get his gut in order or get him " nutritionally supported " first. In our experience, we spent 10 years giving $300/month of nutrients. He still tested low, year after year. His gut got worse, not better. I'm only suggesting - don't wait too long to try chelation - the right way. Deb > > I am looking for information about the scheduling of vitamins. Guest guest
yep we have done exactly the same thing, spent £1000's on supps, tried every diet there is, and either no change, or worsening guts symptoms, so now we are onto chelation, and kicking myself every step of the way that i didnt do this first. My DD had another assessment by the early years team yesterday and the keyworkers and them were hugely impressed by how much she has improved in the last 4 weeks, her gross motor skills have improved, shes trying to interact with the other children, incl role play, her language has definately improved, she sat in the book corner with a pile of books telling the assessor the story in every 1. And thats after 3 rounds!!! No such miracles with the olders as yet but it gives me hope!! emma mum to 1 DD with DCD (3), 2 DS with ASD (7 & 12) round 3 dmsa, 2.5mg, 5mg, 10mg > > > > I am looking for information about the scheduling of vitamins. Certain things should be given with other things, and certain things need to be given separately from other things. Almost everything should be given at least 2-3x per day.
