My son used to repeat what I was saying when he was learning how to talk. After

almost a year and a half he has stopped this behavior almost completely. He

still repeats some things he sees on TV some.

Another symptom of mercury poisoning.

Used to be just the last few words- now he can perfectly repeat everything. What

I do is say- don't be a parrot- that is the question- what is your answer and he

will answer now. I tell him don't be lazy. Sometimes he just repeats thinking it

will please us or when he is paying rapt attention to a computer game and is

tuning us out.
