Yesterday had to take Mickie to the hospital for severe constipation. He had

spent the night first laughing and giggling, but in a bad way, like he was in

another world, then the crying started.

I got up and gave him some apple sause, so he would have something in his

stomach and he went back to sleep, then at seven o'clock he woke up and started

crying. I thought after his shower he would be fine, but instead he asked for

his blankets and laid on the dinning room floor for hours, just making sounds

with his throat. He also refused to eat or drink anything.

Even though he has been pooping everyday, his belly was distended, hard and he

was really hurting.

To make a long story short, I took him to the hospital at 12:00. It was somewhat

of a waste of time, because it took them five hours to give him an enema that

didn't work and some Epsom salt at about 8:00 and that didn't work either, so I

asked to take him home.

He did get an ex-ray of his abdomen and I got to finally see how much poop was

in him. It was everywhere!! But not much towards the bottom or the colon. What

does that mean? He was also full of gas! More gas then poop-ouch!!

I don't understand why they couldn't just do something more for him to go to the

bathroom.

In the end they were attempting to send him to Pomona Valley in Pomona-the

dumping ground for medical patients, so I just took him home. For what little

they did, I could have done better at home.

I have him on a liquid diet. I gave him a laxative last night, then one this

morning-no poop ......and I gave him some milanta, any other ideas?
