I'm sorry that sounds awful, glad he is home though. Is this child dairy free?

If not, that's the first thing I'd do to try and help the situation.

was on the GFCF diet from age 4 till 7 1/2. He's 13 now. Been giving ALA

since he was 8 with great progress; maybe it's time we stop the ALA for a while.

I restarted selenium in November after his previous hospital stay.

is 13 and weighs 109 lbs now. He's been getting 50mg every 3

hours from between 10:30am Sunday through 10:30pm Tuesday. Never got

any amalgam fillings.

That would be the maximum dose for his weight.

We've been giving ALA according to the AC protocol for 5 years. For

the last 2 1/2 years until almost half a year ago was giving him 30

mg, then switched to 50 mg. He seemed to have no problem with this

amount - note that he was hospitalized for pneumonia / asthma 5 times

while getting 30 mg. And fwiw he was also in the hospital at 10 days

of age and at age 5, both of those for respiratory issues as well and

before we ever gave him ALA.
