CCA (copper chromated arsenate) was used to treat lumber until about 7 years

ago. ACQ is what's generally used now. Arsenic is also in pesticides,

particularly those used on cotton fields, golf courses, and orchards, and added

to chicken feed. It is also used as stain resistant on/in car seats, playpens,

strollers, carpets, upholstered furniture, etc. Check www.danasview.net/metals

for other sources of exposure.

Funny you mention golf courses. We bought a house on a small golf course here

in Vegas, and I know personally of at least two other autistic kids that live in

our little community, and seen three or four other cars with autism awareness

stickers. Every month or so I see the maintenance guys put on those white suits

and masks to spray some crap on the bushes and landscape.. Who knows what

concoction is in there. If the economy wasn't so bad, I'd get the hell outa

Dodge.
