When I had molloscum, I took 1500mg lysine 3x per day for a while, then 2x per day. It took probably 3-4 months for it to go away. But when it was gone, then I got a chronic flu that flared badly when I tried to stop the lysine. So I kept the lysine for another 1-2 months, which kept the flu away. My son had plantar warts develop in phase two of lysine, which required 8 months of high dose lysine to eliminate. Definitely, as herpes virus is leaving the body, it tends to cause " typical herpes symptoms " on the way out. For all five of us at my house who took lysine, when the lysine was no longer required, it caused numb/tingling feet. So if you have that symptom, remove the lysine. > I am tempted to take him to my dermatologist to freeze off the two or > three that have appeared on his jawline (infection began on his > collarbone and has spread). Is there any reason I shouldn't do this? It won't eliminate the virus that is causing the molloscum. Dana
Guest guest
Thank you, Dana. Follow-up question: Are all wart viruses variants of the herpes virus? What kinds of " typical herpes symptoms " should I watch for? He has never had " cold sores " on his lips or mouth, for instance. > Ds (age 10, PDD-NOS, 130 lbs.) appears to have a case of Molluscum > Contagiosum (based on my conversation with pediatric nurse + my > reading of posts by Dana and others in November). At my house, the " warty-looking " ones were. Plantar warts on the feet, and larger knobby ones on the hands. But there were some, smoother smaller round warts, that did not leave with lysine, they required vitamin D before they left. >>What kinds of " typical herpes symptoms " should I > watch for? At my house [and we didn't have some of these symptoms before taking lysine either], cold sores, warts on hands, plantar warts on feet, molloscum, flu, and a rash that looked like possible shingles altho we had never had chicken pox or the vaccine. Guest guest
My son broke out with this years ago, it was ALL over his face and neck quickly, I used PauD'arco herb and withing a month they where almost gone, he still has a few bumps on his chin and inside of his nose so I was thinking of doing another round of the herb again... it is a tough one to get rid of... I thought they where gone and periodically another one pops up... deborah > > Ds (age 10, PDD-NOS, 130 lbs.) appears to have a case of Molluscum > Contagiosum (based on my conversation with pediatric nurse + my > reading of posts by Dana and others in November). Guest guest
I alternated Oil of Oregano and Thieves' Oil every other night and my son's bumps were gone within a month and a half. The smaller ones were the last to die off.
Guest guest
I want to clarify that I actually applied Oil of Oregano and Thieves' Oil to the bumps.
