Guest guest
Here's another good article re: wireless radiation and autism http://www.scribd.com/doc/11824624/Electromagnetic-Radiation-and-Autism-ACNEM-fi\ nal But before you go out and look for Graham Stetzer filters, I recently received a letter from the company saying they are no longer making these and also recalling the ones I bought nearly two years ago as there is a defect which makes them a fire hazard. They are replacing them with Electropulse filters. Guest guest
Are u turning it off at night??? It is during sleep that major detox occurs, and cells exposed to EMFs and WiFi is not a good thing. As a matter of fact, your whole family would profit from it, not just your child, and, u save energy. I have an automatic timer and all energy is cut out in the second floor (where bedrooms are)starting 23:00 hrs until 6;30 when we get up. I sleep better w/o it. When I am in a hotel, I can feel the difference, my in-laws say I am over-reacting, I don't care, I do believe electrosmog plays a big role in today's health problems. Guest guest
Hi Isa, Good idea about cutting off the electricity with an automatic timer. That will probably eliminate any dirty electricity problems or power line magnetic fields. I found this article with advice from Dr. Klinghardt, http://www.klinghardt.org/ning/AutismRecovery.pdf He is the one who did a pilot study that found autistic children's moms slept in places where high EMF's were measured. One of the ideas in this paper is to use a demand switch or disconnect fuses for outlets near children's beds. He also warns against cordless phones, wireless internet, and cell towers. Most hotels have a lot of electrosmog, because there are frequently cell towers nearby, or else Wi-Fi or cordless phones. It makes things difficult for me when I travel. One time on a business trip, an acquaintance remarked that when he gets sick, he can recover as long as he stays away from hotels and airports. Most people think it must be because of something else-- e.g., chemicals used in cleaning or bad air, but I think it might have to do with the EMF's, since I feel fine in hotels if the EMF's are low, but I have a tendency to get sick or have strange symptoms if the EMF's are high. Hi Jo, I bought a few Graham-Stetzer filters recently from lessemf.com but they didn't send me any recall notice. I checked stetzerelectric.com and electricalpollution.com and no sign of recall. Which company sent you the recall? I would like to check it out because I need to buy more for a friend... From my online searching, I found the electropulse filter is sold in the UK with UK-style plug. Is the fire hazard you're referring to possibly related to using a UK adapter to the US-style plug of the Graham Stetzer filter? I recently lent my Stetzerizer meter to someone to test her home. The levels were around 1000+ in some places (I haven't seen anything that high myself). I'm worried because her youngest kid seems like she may have some symptoms similar to autism, although I hope I'm wrong... I already helped them to put up a shielding curtain for the cell tower near their home before they moved in, but it was unexpected to find the dirty electricity problem in their wires, and I wonder if it has anything to do with other issues like bad allergies after they moved into this home. I checked this document and found the median rating of 500 homes was 159 so her home is at the extreme end. http://www.electricalpollution.com/documents/MilhamAmJIndMed2008.p\ df > > > Hi all, > > > > > > Recent attention has been given to a little known subject called dirty > > > electricity (see article in Prevention magazine: > > > http://www.emrpolicy.org/files/prevention_jan_2010.pdf) > > > <http://www.emrpolicy.org/files/prevention_jan_2010.pdf> > > > > > > I recently found http://www.ourkidsautismrecovery.com/ > > > <http://www.ourkidsautismrecovery.com/> which mentions use of > > > Graham-Stetzer filter for dirty electricity, which has supposedly helped > > > some people with autism as well as other conditions like Multiple > > > Sclerosis. > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Oops, I think I was wrong about the Graham-Stetzer filters, something I mentioned in a really old thread. They might not help. Hence, I wanted to correct myself with this article I recently learned about: http://www.emfrelief.com/capacitive-filters.html On the other hand, I also recently learned from building biology (see buildingbiology.net) that turning off some circuit breakers might be helpful for many health conditions. Recently learned that Romex wiring, typical of residential homes, is unshielded. (See http://www.emfrelief.com/emf.html) If any are familiar, Klinghardt's study on autism looked at two parameters-- one was wireless, the other was body voltage. The body voltage is the parameter related to electrical fields from Romex wiring in walls/floors/ceilings, etc, and plugged in lamps, even if not turned on. You kinda have to start thinking 3D to reduce electrical fields. To find out where the wires are active, try a non-contact voltage meter. You'd be surprised to find out a lamp that's plugged in but not turned on, emits electrical fields. > > > Hi all, > > > > > Recent attention has been given to a little known subject called dirty > electricity (see article in Prevention magazine: > http://www.emrpolicy.org/files/prevention_jan_2010.pdf) > <http://www.emrpolicy.org/files/prevention_jan_2010.pdf> > > > > > I recently found http://www.ourkidsautismrecovery.com/ > <http://www.ourkidsautismrecovery.com/> which mentions use of > Graham-Stetzer filter for dirty electricity, which has supposedly helped > some people with autism as well as other conditions like Multiple > Sclerosis. > > > > > > What is dirty electricity? We recently purchased bed pads with grounding technology, and (our) measurements for electrical radiation dropped significantly. Definitely a winner, everyone is sleeping very well, am now saving for the pads to use adjacent to computers. na eg. Google " Wolfe EMF utube " , (no vested interest by me). *** Our readings in our home near electricals were up to 5V, and dropped to 0.01V after grounding, very impressive results. > > > > > > Hi all, > > > > > > > > > > Recent attention has been given to a little known subject called dirty > > electricity (see article in Prevention magazine: > > http://www.emrpolicy.org/files/prevention_jan_2010.pdf) > > <http://www.emrpolicy.org/files/prevention_jan_2010.pdf> > > > > > > > > > > I recently found http://www.ourkidsautismrecovery.com/ > > <http://www.ourkidsautismrecovery.com/> which mentions use of > > Graham-Stetzer filter for dirty electricity, which has supposedly helped > > some people with autism as well as other conditions like Multiple > > Sclerosis. > > > > > > > > > > > > What is dirty electricity? Guest guest
Radiant Light Nutrition has good EMF Protection products: http://radiantlightnutrition.com/EMF_Protection_Premier_Research_Labs.asp With the " Q Tape " , I was able to do our whole house. You put some at your breaker box, on the backs of your computers, cell phones, cordless phones, etc. I had at first got the Diodes, but called and explained it would just not be able to stay on my cell phone. The rep said the Q tape is the most recent development and would do the same job, but easier. There is enough tape to do several houses/offices if you want to share the cost with someone. Call & they will explain it. I also got the small Tektites to carry in my pockets. I had cancer last year and wanted to cover all my bases. I researched and this seemed to be the most cost-effective option. They are a really good company and very helpful over the phone. >
Guest guest
Just an FYI with the Q tape Important: Be sure to cover any exposed Q tape on devices with gaffers tape or some other such tape to protect your exposure to the lead in the Q-tape. When initially placing the Q-tape, either wear gloves or wash hands immediately after handling. Guest guest
> From: vaccinesuk vaccinesuk@... > *** Our readings in our home near electricals were up to 5V, and dropped to > 0.01V after grounding, very impressive results. Hi na, Wow, 5 V is very high for body voltage/electrical fields. (Building Biology SBM 2008 guidelines suggest that even 1 V is high, although it's actually pretty typical.) I checked the youtube video you provided. However, I think it may be unsafe to ground in high electrical environments, even if it reduces body voltage, and I will explain below. Grounding mats also seem expensive, if you check the one that popular health writer Anne Louise Gittleman links to at http://www.annlouise.com/blog/2010/12/13/the-barefoot-connection/). A much cheaper (free) option, although in some ways inconvenient is to turn off the relevant circuit breakers on the circuit panel altogether, and use a flashlight or route in a long extension cable from a nearby room's socket, but keeping a distance from the bed. Grounding could also be potentially unsafe, if done improperly. (Though you are grounded through the mat, you & the mat could also become a target for external electrical fields, which use you as shortest path to the ground.) Thus, if grounding indoors, it's important: (a) To turn off circuit breakers affecting your room's electrical fields via wires hidden in walls/floors ( To make sure the grounding mat is *between* the individual and any electrical field, and not vice versa. (You don't want to be between the electrical field and the grounding mat.) © Klinghardt also recommends it's preferable to ground into the earth (via grounding rod) as opposed to the electrical system, e.g., in case of other frequencies riding on the ground circuit. (see his list below) BTW, grounding is typically used for eliminating static problems, but another solution to that is to use bedding with only natural materials (like a cotton futon & one without coils) as opposed to synthetic ones that have more static. Lowering electrical fields by turning off switches on the circuit breaker panel may have benefits in and of itself, even without grounding. In the audio interview @ http://electromagnetichealth.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/vicki-warren\ ..mp3, Building Biologist Vicki talks about the importance of lowering electrical & microwave exposure, e.g., by turning off circuit breaker and using a special wireless shielding mesh canopy. The interview even included a case of an autistic kid's recovery (~ 4 years old if I recall correctly). Note: One misunderstanding is to think a lamp plugged in but turned off won't have electrical fields. The wires actually still have electrical fields as long as it is plugged in, which you can verify with a cheap non-contact voltage detector. Another misunderstanding is not to realize that plastic-covered (Romex) wires hidden in walls are energized, and such wires routed to other rooms via your room may also affect electrical fields to your room. It's actually pretty normal to have high levels of electrical fields, but these may interfere with the body's healing processes. Klingdhardt, who also talks about body voltage and autism, recommends the following: * shut off all fuses at night. Buy a flashlight. Better: have a " demand switch " installed by knowledgeable electrician (rare to find). Move children's bed away from wall (3 feet) * Get rid of cordless phones at home and get chorded phone (Radio Shack) * Use PC rather then laptop whenever possible. Have " box " as far away fromchair as possible (best: outside, since computers outgas Beryllium, mercury, lead and PBDEs * No wireless internet at home or in office * Use metallized grounding sheet under regular bed sheet with ground wire either in earth (best) or attached to metal-waterpipe (not the ground in electric outlet, since most often 60Hz flicker on it) * In most cases: install metallized mosquito net (shield) to deflect incoming microwave. In office, or if possible at home: use metallized paint or conductive Silica-paint on walls * Have experienced ART practitioner or Building-Biology expert check home for geopathic radiation and move bed location or work-site accordingly * If you are chronically unwell or have a diagnosed medical illness and you have not responded to treatment, assume that electrosmog is keeping you from getting well. Fix it! * If you do not absolutely have to use a cell phone, get rid of it. Making monthly payments drives the industry and leads to the installation of more broadcasting panels in your neighborhood * If you continue using a cell phone, get ear piece with air conduction * Absolutely metal free mattress and bed-frame * Un-clutter the bedroom * No wrist watch, no metal jewelry, no metal zippers or belt buckles * Avoid living in apartments (neighbor above, below or next door may have wireless or cordless phone) or working in office buildings * 10 minute earth-hole meditation at end of workday * Avoid new cars (phthalates, EMF pollution) * Metal free dentistry * Work a life-long metal detox program * Avoid electrical appliances (hair dryer, electric razor, computer) * Spend less time on computer. Get a life! * Follow all these recommendations and teach them to your children, parents and friends >
Guest guest
Sorry I should note if you turn off circuit breakers and use an extension cord from a nearby room's socket, make sure the extension cable is grounded (3-pin instead of 2-pin). 3-pin over 2-pin is advised as part of Building Biology Guidelines: http://www.baubiologie.net/uploads/media/VDB_Building_Biology_Indoor_Environment\ _Checklist__english__01.pdf (Ideally it would be shielded too, but you might find shielded extension cords are not commercially available. I had to make a cheap one for myself.) I'm learning a lot about Building Biology lately, including about chemical outgassing from plastics (e.g., PVC's). As autism may be related to many forms of toxins, it's important to look at it holistically, so what I like about Building Biology (originally from Germany, " Baubiologie " ) is that they look at both electrical/microwave and chemicals/air quality. They have some free videos on their website, www.buildingbiology.net, if anyone is interested. > > > From: vaccinesuk vaccinesuk@ > > *** Our readings in our home near electricals were up to 5V, and > dropped to > > 0.01V after grounding, very impressive results. > > Hi na, > > Wow, 5 V is very high for body voltage/electrical fields.
