Guest guest
My name is Kathy, it has been a long time since I have written, I have PBC. I have had to cut down my hours at work because of fatigue and SEVERE itching. I take all kinds of meds for it, but it still persists. And now I have such joint pain and nobody(all my docs) seems to be able to help with this. Does anybody have any suggestions? Thanks kalters@... __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Fran, why doesn't she stay on the antibiotics and add mtx injections or pills? I was that ill too and needed the mtx to stop the progress. It wasn't something I wanted to take but I definately needed the pain relief. I tried going off of it this winter and was gradually cutting it back but the pain grew with each passing week and my toes and fingers started shifting quickly. I had to increase the mtx back to where it was before. It may make the antibiotics take longer to work if on mtx but without the pain relief, I wouldn't be here today. It also has given me back the ability to participate in things that I had to give up because I was so disabled. Such as dressing myself, feeding myself, quilting and knitting. Please give your sister a big gentle hug from me. Sus

Have you taken you child to pathmed.com or to Bill Walsh' clinic in IL for metabolic assessment? After assessment, they tell which supplementas in what amounts to give, otherwise it's trial and error after lots of reading and conferring with a doc with an open mind. mjh MJH
Guest guest
Lyn, If you have been married through most of your husbands military career and into retirement you should be able to negociate Tricare for life as a part of your divorce. Please talk with a lawyer about this. Tricare for life is a suppliment to medicare. At a minimum you should be able to get a few years if not for life. This will depending on the state you are in as well as if you have stayed home for most of your marriage to raise a family as most traditional military wives have done. Good luck Toni In a message dated 9/5/05 1:36:32 P.M. My health is very unstable due to multiple debilitating illnesses-JRA, Iritis, Uveitis, Glaucoma, Sleep Apnea, High BP, many joint replacements... My husband has filed for a divorce, so I will soon have Medicare only. I am trying to understand what that will mean for me...can anyone help me, even my attorney seems a bit confused and asked me to research this. Can anyone clarify this for me? How does it work, when you only have Medicare? What out of pocket costs will I have? Can I expect any changes in my medical care? What have others in similar situations done to not have to file medical bankruptcy?
