Guest guest
Hi all- haven't visited the group for a long time but I'm hopeful that someone has some info that can help me about ala. We started chelating when our son was 8. After finding out he was copper poisoned we were advised to use only dmsa until his copper levels were normal. Copper levels came down when he was 11. We were hit or miss with doing chelation rounds. So far we have done 44 rounds with dmsa. Only 7 rounds have included ala and dmsa together. He is indistinguishable from his peers except that he has ocd, mild physical stims and verbal stims/perseveration when his strep (P.A.N.D.A.S.)flares up. this is maybe every 2 mos. or so. Now, being 13 he is quite aware that he is different from his peers in that he has to take enzymes, a ga-zillion supplements a day and B-12 shots. Needless to say he doesn't want to be different in any way. It has become more difficult to fit in the chelation rounds over the last 2 years because of increased social activities i.e. sleepovers, sports. He has also become resistant to doing them. Soooo...how many more rounds would be advisable? For some reason 50 rounds total with ala sticks in my head. Any help is very much appreciated!!
