Guest guest
Andy says that DMSA increases the removal of metals by approx 20-30% over ALA alone. Think of it as a helper in the body for ALA since DMSA does not cross the blood brain barrier. Â Hello everyone, We have started my daughter (7 yo, 64lb) with some DMSA (only) rounds and then added ALA. We have seen some progress, not big. But no regression or major problems. Currently, we are giving DMSA 25 mg and ALA 10 mg every 3 hours. Is there any downside or upside if I reduce DMSA dose to 15 or 20 mg? Is it ok to completely eliminate DMSA and continue with ALA? How long should we continue to use DMSA in particular? How to gauge what is working DMSA or ALA? Thanks in advance for clearing my confusion. regards, Ragha
