Guest guest
Have you tried powdered Nystatin? Yeast takes a very long time to completely kill when you are going the antifungal route and you have to address the pH of the body if you want it to go away forever. Nystatin can be used indefinitely while you are working on the rest. To go a conservative route, not knowing anything about what you are taking currently, I would say take a look at the following and do research on them as they pertain to your situation. This will cost you about $40 and last a few months or more (not including the last one for yeast), depending on how it is taken. More importantly, it should eliminate the yeast entirely because you make it impossible for the yeast to grow. Potassium Citrate or Coral Calcium & Cod Liver Oil - help bring down the acid in the body and raise pH which makes it difficult for yeast, viruses, bacterium, etc. to reproduce: http://www.vitacost.com/NSI-Potassium-Citrate Sea Salt for minerals, to balance pH, etc. - http://www.vitacost.com/Redmond-RealSalt-Gourmet-All-Natural-Sea-Salt Olive Leaf extract - oleuropein in olive leaf is a natural wide-spectrum antibiotic, anti-bacterial, anti-viral, and anti-fungal: http://www.vitacost.com/Natures-Answer-Alcohol-Free-Oleopein-Olive-Leaf Papaya & Bromelain enzymes for use with every meal to help digestion among other things: http://www.vitacost.com/American-Health-Chewable-Super-Papaya-Enzyme-Plus You may also want to look at: http://www.vitacost.com/NSI-Candida-Yeast-Management The more expensive route, but one that definitely works is to use BioGuard and Probiotics Rx. It'll run you $175.45, but it will knock it all out and you shouldn't have any die off reactions. Guest guest
Use natural antifungals. Probiotics as you learned are not enough for most. We use Grapefruit seed extract, but there are other options like Pau D arco, caprylic acid, biotin, Candex, garlic, oregano.... Lots of probiotics with either one of these: pau d arco, caprylic, GSE or oregano would work. Just choose one to try. Jan > > After using Difflucan for yeast, my daughter seems to get very stimmy. Biomed doctor gave us Flagyl to give her after using the Difflucan. Worked like a miracle. Almost no stims, listening better, talking better, totally calmer, the best she's ever been for about 3 months. But after the Holidays symptoms came back. Thinking yeast again. So we start Difflucan. We have about a week left of 21 day Rx. She is very stimmy again. Very grumpy or giggly silly most of the time, dark circles under her eyes, & did I mention the tantrums? I'm thinking bad bacteria, but I'm afraid of using the Flagyl because the last time she was on it she was very tired, lying around, she seemed so drained and sickly, (which is totally not like her, even when she is sick) for about 2 weeks. I was wondering what I could use that wouldn't make her so sick this time. Something more natural. We've tried probiotics before, Culterelle, Probio gold, Three lac, all of those gave us NO improvements, even when we had them shipped cold & kept in the fridge. Keefer does seem to help her, but I have only seen the kind with dairy & she is alergic to dairy. It gives her eczema. She is on the GF/CF/Yeast free/soy free/ egg free diet as well, due to food intolerance testing done by DAN Dr. She needs something soon because she isn't sleeping well, and is looking very run down even though she is very hyper most of the day. So any help would be appreciated. Thanks so much. > Cristy >
Guest guest
Our daughter also had very similar experiences with Diflucan and Flagyl. Diflucan caused her stimmy, throw up and upset, whereas Flagyl made her compliant. We tried Nystatin with Zero results, as it is a very very mild anti-fungal. I think Flagyl is very safe and effective for bad bacteria. Just make sure to use the double the amount of probiotics during and after Flagyl. Culterelle, Probio gold are not so effective against yeast, they are good against bad bacteria. I find Primal Defense (or Primal Defense Ultra) probiotic very effective against yeast. In addition to that, natural anti-fungals are also equally important. Good luck, Ragha > > After using Difflucan for yeast, my daughter seems to get very stimmy. But, if you want to use something other than Flagyl, I used OLE for bad bacteria issues. Dana
