Guest guest
Cilantro for chelation is an unsafe option for removing mercury from the brain. If you are going to chelate, please follow Andy Cutler's protocol. Alpha Lipoic Acid has been studied and is a much safer alternative. Please DO NOT use cilantro to chelate your child, it may harm them. > > Hi Dana, > > I gave my son candidase on an empty stomach but he ended up with gassy diarrhea 4 hours later? > > This sounds like die off, at least it was at my house. > > Dana > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
I did not follow the andy protocol ,although I do agree with many of the points ... I just didn’t know about him at the time .. and I probably have one of the most recovered children on the board… so I don’t like absolutes.. And we used cilantro liberally.. but I don’t think any of the chelating was as effective as other things I have tried.. although I did find it helpful but it was not the cure….for us the raw goat milk cured him … and is the one thing I could say I could not have recovered him without … but that is just our case and my kiid. Guest guest
I am wondering anyone has any good experiences/suggestions on improving muscle tone. I heard about CoQ10 and carnitine, but not sure how to use them on a 2-year child. My daughter started to walk at 21 months (still has very poor motor skills) and has no speech at 28 months. While chelation is important to do, I feel low tone is a big problem for her. Thanks! Ricky

Guest guest
Hi there, If you think that chelation wasn't a significant part of your child's recovery, then perhaps he wasn't mercury-toxic, in which case, cilantro isn't a problem. I have mercury issues and believe that I got worse from eating cilantro for years. On the other hand, my DH has a mouth full of mercury but is " fine " , ie no neurological or other symptoms yet, and he so ate cilantro for years too. What should I conclude? That cilantro is OK for him but not for me? I don't think that is necessarily the right conclusion. I think that we each have our genetic tendencies, mine are more aligned with the many symptoms described in Andy's book and DH's are probably aligned with those in his family, many of whom were also " perfectly fine " until about age 60 when they started losing their memories to Alzheimer's. I stopped using cilantro at home when I found out about its effect in the presence of mercury. I hope that after lots of chelation, we can eat it again some day but until then we avoid it. The only absolute with mercury and metals is that they affect us all, but not necessarily at the same time nor in the same way. > > I did not follow the andy protocol ,although I do agree with many of the points .. Guest guest
I don’t think you may have read all my posts I know my son had mercury issues , besides all the tell tail symptoms … we live next to the 4th biggest polluter of mercury in the whole county… every man woman and child here has mercury poisoning… I can throw a softball in any direction of my house and hit a kid on the spectrum(we live in a village of only 3k residents). Every single family here is dealing at autism/adhd , MS or some similar autoimmune disorder or cancer. My point is it was neither dangerous or and minimally helpful FOR US. When I say chelation has NOT been a deal breaker … I should clarify… traditional chelating… the cilantro and ALA and such… I do feel that the contents of the raw goat milk is full of antioxidants and such and therefore I do believe it chelates .. and I do believe that is part of what makes raw goat milk so good for autistic. So many that was a misspeak on my part … do do believe that the goat milk helped to detox him.betteer than the traditional chelators..sorry for the confusion. Most people who drink raw goat milk speak of this overall “clean†feeling after… they really can’t describe it better… From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Andree Sent: Friday, July 02, 2010 3:26 AM Subject: [ ] Re: Celantro chelation Hi there, If you think that chelation wasn't a significant part of your child's recovery, then perhaps he wasn't mercury-toxic, in which case, cilantro isn't a problem. Guest guest
Crystal - you know I KNOW ABOUT the benefits of goat's milk. It is like a magic drink when my kids drink it they are SOOOO MUCH brighter, calmer, no yeasty rash, better digestion. However, I am wondering hwat would happen if you stopped giving your LO the milk? would he regress? I just got back from vacation so I am going to order my ALA and start ASAP. bc my kids seem to regress when they don't get enough milk. I think that chelation combined with the milk will be a very powerful combination. jessica w. > > > > I did not follow the andy protocol ,although I do agree with many of the points .. Guest guest
I just spoke with Jane (from LDM100) and she says her nephew is now 16 & very high functioning still on HMD and LDM. On the other hand, Dr. Tom Wu (google him) stated that you need to use a very high power blender such as blendtec to grind fresh cilantro for it to be absorbed at the cellular level. One mom consulted Dr.. Wu (traditional chinese medicine use cilantro for Hg chelation) tried this with her young son and he recovered in a matter of few months...,amazing. Dr. Klinghardt still recommends cilantro and chlorella to his patients & encourage the ones on his waiting list to start taking it. I use chlorella powder and cilantro tincture with my son. Guest guest
It will work for some, that's for sure. Without the ability to recommend a dose (beyond just a wild guess) or protocol (again, a guess, it seems), I'll stick with DMSA/ALA. Cilantro chelates mercury, lead and arsenic. It does. I love cilantro for cooking and use it liberally. I don't feel ill effects but I realize others do. Nothing seems to be absolute in the world of heavy metal chelation, does it? You will always find a product or substance out there that is beneficial to some but likely not the wise choice for most. Guest guest
Thanks for sharing. Do you know if during the process of using cilantro whether there were any side effects? I tried cilantro a few times with my son (juiced) and his stims increased (verbal stims, blinking eyes, nodding head). Is this a normal effect? We are currently on AC protocol. Taking a week off b/c of weird effects from last round (rolling eyes). Any additional info appreciated. > > > Hi Dana, > > > I gave my son candidase on an empty stomach but he ended up with gassy diarrhea 4 hours later? > > This sounds like die off, at least it was at my house. > > Dana > >
