Very OT: furniture from Goodwill

Hi all,

I realize this topic is ot, however, I know some friends of my children will be

off to college for the first time and are planning to outfit their apartments

with furniture from Goodwill. I worry about things like bedbugs (or other

crawlies)... just wondering what sort of things might be helpful to be proactive

just in case? Like some sort of " safe " spray?
