Well of course I got the news about Kirkman and fortunately I have not been

using any of the products with problems. I have been thinking of switching from

kirkman products (I use many for my son) because I am just not seeing great

results and I have heard from other parents that kirkman products were not

helping their children either.

My question is what are some good companies to use for supplements? I have been

thinking about brain child as i have heard that using liquid is better for

absorption. I am also considering Klaire labs. I am ready to make some switches

but I am not sure what to do and I have spent a lot of $$ on supplements so I am

looking for some opinions on companies and products that other sfeel are the

best. I use most of the same supplements as everyone on the list.

This is what using from kikman right now:

B- Complex, Vit C, Calcium, magnesium, Taurine, CoQ10, carntine, P5P. selineum,

My Biotin Vit E, D, are not from Kirkamns enzymes are Trienza CLO DR Ron's Pro

DHA

Brainchild supplements are very good and little pricey. But they are very

tolerable and high quality. We use their multi vitamins and multi minerals (both

products are available as liquids and soft gels.

The other brands we use with satisfaction are:

Natrol, Jarrows, Doctor's Best(Ubiquinol COQH10), Nordic Naturals (for EFAs),

Culturelle, Pure Encapsulations, VRP(look for a sale), Good N Natural

(Carnitine), Carlson Labs (Vitamin D), Source Naturals.

Online stores with cheap prices (and/or free shipping) are:

LuckyVitamin.com

iHerb.com

Vitaglo.com

RenewalEnterprises.com

VRP.com

SpectrumSuppelemnts.com

SunnyNaturals.com

I would recommend New Beginnings to add to that list. They have some great

ionic liquid suspentions for things like zinc. I stopped using Kirkman's

because they seemed to highly irritate my sensitive child, I guess my gut was

right!

Kirkman products were helpful for us and I think ALL supplement companies are

prone to this type of problem, so we have to be watchful and post when hear of

problems. I do say that for the price of what we pay for Kirkman I would not

expect them to buy stevia from China. That's disappointing. I plan to express my

disappointment to them.

I don't use any of the affected products myself but I would be pretty upset as a

parent if I had. So I can completely understand that. One of the things we

liked about Kirkman was that they actually tested their calcium supplements for

Lead. I was not able to find others who did.

If someone has another company that does this also and sells powdered calcium

please let me know, per chance we do switch over when I run out. I'm pretty

stocked for now and we buy hypoallergic supplements from them mostly, so no

stevia there.

I have a problem with paying $85 for Brainchild multi's when the dosing and

ingredients are not any better than most other companies. and my son probably

won't take it anyway. I just feel that for the doses in there, and I still have

to supplement additionally to get what he gets now....why bother? I know others

like them, thats ok too.

Most parents forget that supplements are band aids not cures. They may not help

a lot because they only help masks the symptoms and help fend off the damage of

mercury, they do not cure you. Chelation does that. So you're not looking to buy

a vitamin and expecting to get a major improvements for taking it.

The problem with liquids is they come with preservatives and usually flavorings

that are problematic for most of us are kids. Absorbable or not.

I have not had problems with Kirkman C, B com or Mag, calcium in the three years

we have been using them. But other options we use are NOW supplements, many come

in powdered form with nothing added. Thorne, Klaire, Solgar....there are other

fine companies as well.

But ugh....for sure.
