Andy mentions in his book alot about testing Plasma cystine. As we only have

access to Urine cystine tests, can I know if the results of cystine in Plasma

and urine mean the same if they are high or low?

My second question is Andy mentions in his book that NAC should be given in case

Glutathion levels are low, can I know which tests give Glutathion levels?

Regards,

FA

No I don't think they do.

There is no test for plasma Cystine at present probably the best way to tell is

to trial a thiol exclusion diet.

The plasma cysteine test is no longer commercially available.

THe urine test is of no utility.

Sort it out empirically with dietary trials of high and low sulfur diets.
