Guest guest
Hi Liz, As Andy says, Chromium up to 200mg a day helps to stop hypoglycemic attacks. Picolinate form is good.  Ped Dr recomended to have a glucose intolerance testing, but we didn't do it. If anyone did and it helped to target the cause, please share your experience! Thanks ________________________________ From: Liz <elizabethsoliday@...> Sent: Sun, October 24, 2010 9:32:12 AM Subject: [ ] Hypoglycemic diet  Hi, I was wondering if anyone has experience with hypoglycemia. My son has had a couple low blood sugar related seizure-like events and I am trying to figure out if I have to change his diet. There is conflicting information on the internet, specifically regarding carbohydrates. Liz

Guest guest
Dear Dana, Have you found what was the reason for hypoglycemia symptoms? I understand it is a sign of further internal conditions? What do you think about it? Thanks, ________________________________ From: danasview <danasview@...> Sent: Sun, October 24, 2010 5:58:14 PM Subject: [ ] Re: Hypoglycemic diet  > Hi, I was wondering if anyone has experience with hypoglycemia. Guest guest
> Dear Dana, > Have you found what was the reason for hypoglycemia symptoms? Chromium was very helpful here. I also tried vanadium because several sources recommended it. I don't know if it helped, but it seems that it did. Dana
Guest guest
Not Dana but I've had this condition myself for a while and find that LOTS of chromium helps. Taken with meals and before bed. Adrenal support is also something you really want to use, as adrenal hormones are primarily responsible for glucose regulation. And then liver support, as the liver is responsible for getting extra glucose out when you need it. This condition seems to be a repercussion of mercury. Andy explains it better in Amalgam Illness. Guest guest
Thanks, Jan! What did you use for adrenal except of hormons and for the liver support? I recently had big trouble with taurin... ________________________________ From: mercurybabies2 <mercurybabies2@...> Sent: Mon, October 25, 2010 9:48:19 PM Subject: [ ] Re: Hypoglycemic diet  Not Dana but I've had this condition myself for a while and find that LOTS of chromium helps. Guest guest
What kind of trouble did you run into with Taurine. We take 1000 mg+ a day so would like to hear what happened to you. Guest guest
 Ronni, we just couldn't start it. I was reading about it in the Andy's book but still do not understand it completely. It happened exactly as Andy describes it. Adverse phenolic reaction was followed by hypoglicemia symptoms which in our case are followed by kidney stress and swallen eyes next day. Because Andy wrote that hypoglycemia sometimes means hidden problems of the liver, and taurine caused such a reaction, I suspect we have our liver under stress. Someone recomended me to check his no sulfur diet and meanwhile to increase AKA to remove more ammonia which I am doing now. Andy, Dana, I would be so greatful to hear your opinion on this.  I am extremely concerned because if his detox pathways both liver and kidneys do not function properly, then how are we going to start chelation? Any opinion would be highly appreciated.  ________________________________ From: ronnimike <HISSPECIALTOUCH@...> Sent: Tue, October 26, 2010 2:07:48 AM Subject: [ ] Re: Hypoglycemic diet  What kind of trouble did you run into with Taurine. Guest guest
A no sulfur diet? Isn't that in and of itself dangerous? " Sulfur is a mineral that is present in all cells, especially in cartilage and keratin of skin and hair. Sulfur is important for a healthy hair, skin and nails, it also helps maintain oxygen balance for proper brain function. Other Function in the Body :Purify and tone system and promote bile secretion.Constituent of essential amino-acids.It is a mild laxative, thus preventing constipation. Helps treat rheumatism, gout and bronchitis. Use in the treatment of skin diseases.Symptoms of Deficiency - Sluggishness and Fatigue. " Onion is a good source of Sulfur. The taste of onion comes from the fact that when the cells are crushed a chemical is released that when mixed with water become sulfuric acid. (which is why one should never drink water after eating an onion and why it causes tears) I usually make an effort to increase consumption of Onion because I find I usually feel better when I get enough of it in my diet. Additionally, the cure for cancer that was recently discovered is a Sulfur compound called sulforaphane. http://www.naturalnews.com/028822_broccoli_brst_cancer.html It was found conclusively that sulforaphane prevents and cures Breast and Prostate Cancer with effectiveness not seen in Chemo. It is such an amazing medical break through because it's the first alternative treatment that can't be ignored. I can't imagine anyone cutting it out of their diet. If you have a medical reason to decrease the amount of Sulfur in your system wouldn't it be more effective to take a Sulfur-Grabbing Protein since that would disable some of the Sulfur already in your body? Sulfur containing foods also contain Sulfur Grabbing proteins and more attention is directed at removing these proteins than the Sulfur. http://www.aces.uiuc.edu/Discover/discover11.cfm But I guess if you look hard enough you could find something. Here is a good article that explains the function of sulfur in your body, and what happens if you don't get enough or get too much: http://www.thorne.com/altmedrev/.fulltext/7/1/22.pdf .... I'm probably missing something though, there are so many beneficial forms of Sulfur that something must seriously be wrong to try and cut it out completely. Which page you are referring to? That is exactly what happened to my friend's son. Thanks, Galina
Guest guest
My son is not tolerating taurine, glycine, zinc (gluconate), or vitamin C (ascorbate bio-c, ascorbic acid from cassava), UGH!! Guest guest
Is it because taurine is sulphur ? He is not tolerating it due to the ammonia / cysteine level issues? Just wondering. Guest guest
Have you tried Ester-C? It is non-acidic so usually good for people who can't tolerate it. I actually prefer the acidic stuff but I take Ester-C because it stays in the body longer.
