Is there any substite for hot chocolate. My child reacts to chocolate but is

going camping and it would be nice for her to join in with something hot to

drink. Any suggestions? thanks

My guys drink the Organic Tempt Vanilla Hemp milk, it is really tasty and

nutritious. Also I sometimes heat up Apple Cider and put a little cinnamon

or apple pie spice in it.

Even home made hot chocolate? Follow the recipe on the side of cocoa, use your

safe milk?

We get the organic Vanilla Tempt Hemp milk in the " healthier " section of the

grocery stores on the same aisle as the soy and rice milk, its not

refrigerated (until after you open it). It comes in a purple and white

package. I also use it in my coffee and our smoothies....I shop at Kroger,

Tom Thumb, and Sprouts...here's a picture of the milk and the ingredients so

you can see if there are any dietary conflicts

No I haven't but that sounds like a great idea to try! I will try

coconut next time.. it should make it creamier! J

When im feeling extra creative I have homemade marshmallows to throw in and

that makes it a real treat.

I love coconut! I forgot about that, it sounds perfect to add to the hot

drink...I use the organic extra virgin coconut oil to add creaminess and

flavor to our smoothies and other recipes and the health benefits are

awesome. I am copying and pasting some good info on health benefits of it..

The health benefits of coconut oil include hair care, skin care, stress

relief, maintaining cholesterol levels, weight loss, increased immunity,

proper digestion and metabolism, relief from kidney problems, heart diseases

high blood pressure, diabetes, HIV and cancer, dental care, and bone

strength. These benefits of coconut oil can be attributed to the presence of

lauric acid, capric acid and caprylic acid, and its properties such as

antimicrobial, antioxidant, antifungal, antibacterial, soothing, etc.

How is Lauric Acid Used by our body?

The human body converts lauric acid into monolaurin which is claimed to help

in dealing with viruses and bacteria causing diseases such as herpes,

influenza, cytomegalovirus, and even HIV. It helps in fighting harmful

bacteria such as listeria monocytogenes and heliobacter pylori, and harmful

protozoa such as giardia lamblia. As a result of these various health

benefits of coconut oil, though its exact mechanism of action was unknown,

it has been extensively used in Ayurveda, the traditional Indian medicinal

system.
