Guest guest
Kirkman sells 25mg capsules, that is what I use. You should start at 1/8mg per pound of body weight. 6.25 or 12.5mg would be an appropriate starting dose. Work your way up slowly as tolerated and don't exceed 1/2mg per pound of body weight. You can split the Kirkman capsules in 12.5mg... it's pretty easy. One round of capsules should take about 30 minutes of splitting. > > > I am sorry if this question was posted before, But I was wondering what brand of ALA I should use , If I understood right , I need capsules w/t as less as possible of ALA . The only ones I find are w/ the minimum of 50 mg ! My son is around 65 lb , what size of mg I should use so it will be easier for me to dose it correctly ? > Thanks Nora > > > > > > Nora Bunis -Stuart > > > > >

Guest guest
Pure encapsulations is good...kirkman apparently doesent care enough about our kids to test and verify they don't have contaminants. There vitamins had antimony in them because they use cheap Chinese sources > > Kirkman's hypoallergenic > > > > > ________________________________ > From: Nora <nvbshb@...> > > Sent: Mon, October 25, 2010 9:12:05 PM > Subject: [ ] Which brand ALA? > >  > > I am sorry if this question was posted before, But I was wondering what brand of > ALA I should use , If I understood right , I need capsules w/t as less as > possible of ALA . Guest guest
Thanks a lot ! I am not sure I understand this tho : " One round of capsules should take about 30 minutes of splitting. " I am not yet ready to start and I still have a lot to read about it ,but I live in the Bahamas and Ordering the right supps  needs a lot of planing and researching  in order not to spend a fortune on shipping . So I want  to make sure I don't make mistakes and wrong choices  w/t the supps for the protocol . Nora Bunis -Stuart From: billymadison303 <billymadison303@...> Subject: [ ] Re: Which brand ALA? Guest guest
Kirkman sells 25mg capsules. I personally take the whole capsule, all 25mg. If you wanted a smaller dose you would have to split the capsule in half to get 12.5mg, in fourth to get 6.25mg, etc. Since your kid weights around 60 pounds 12.5mg or 6.25mg would probably be an appropriate starting dose. To my knowledge you can't buy ALA in smaller doses than 25mg. I actually think livingnetwork sells compounded ALA out of South Africa, so you could look into that as well. I hope I cleared this up for you. > > > > > > > > > I am sorry if this question was posted before, But I was wondering what brand of ALA I should use , If I understood right , I need capsules w/t as less as possible of ALA . Guest guest
Hi Nora! Sorry to interrupt your thread, I was a time ago in bahamas and hard as I tried, I couldn't " find " a child that l could identify as ASD, perhaps because I was in cape eleuthera??? (Beautiful place, BTW). Where in the bahamas do you live? I know someone that could perhaps help you w the supplements. Is your child vaccinated??? Which vaccines did he receive??? Do you know How high is the incidence of Autism in the country???? Is the health system following american or british standards? (Both countries with big increase in developmental problems). Sorry so many questions but I am very interested for a series of reasons.
