Guest guest
Amy-are the spots going away or remaining after you remove the helmet for an hour??? Are the dry or do look like abrasions?? It could justbe heat rash which is so common- used to get something like that and we would put cortisone cream on it right before his bath and then wipe it off before the helmet went back on. I would call your ortho and see if there is anything safe that you could put on it-powders creams etc. A lot of ortho's don't want you using anything under the band. I have also attached some messages from the archives that have other suggestions. Let us know. Guest guest
Amy, Hmm, could it be a heat rash of some sort? Has he been sweating a lot? I'm not 100% sure what you could do if it were a heat rash, but maybe keeping him in air conditioning as much as possible and dressing him in cool clothes. You also might be able to remove the helmet several times a day and dry off his head and the helmet with a towel. If you don't think it is a heat rash or eczema you might want to consult the ortho and see if it could possibly be an allergic reaction to the materials in the helmet! Guest guest
Amy, We put cornstarch all over the inside of our locally made helmet (sparingly) every night after cleaning with the rubbing alcohal. You're right though, it is not recommended for all products so check with your orthotist first!! Marci (Mom to ) Oklahoma
Guest guest
Marci - it does look like heat rash - but it hasn't been hot here - we have been having very cool rainy weather. We take it off periodically for wipe downs - maybe we should do it more often but he hasn't seemed to be sweating too much. I just talked to the ortho and he said we can put corn starch baby powder on his head before we put the helmet on - I know this isn't recommended by most orthos so don't try this at home kiddos . Hey Beck if you are reading this - I didn't get the archived messages you said you sent. Don't know why. We will try the cortizone cream tonight at tubby time. Guest guest
Amy Zeasorb powder is great as well so if you are allowed powders corn starch and such you can ask about that one-it is wonderful. Let me know about the cortisone. Hope it works- just what you need one more thing to worry about:-) Beck

Guest guest
Hi Donna Yes, I have gotten several rashes. First one right over my lower back, Near l-4 and l-5, Exactly where I have been locked up for few years. Then over my prostate area. Then where my right leg attaches to my hip on the front. I was not surprised at all, As I have driven a rash on my lower back before while I was using other things such as ambrotose, (Stopped that because I could not afford it). In my case the rash has ALWAYS been a GOOD SIGN. When the rash leaves I feel better in that area. And beware that it may come back again on MMS, As it may not be done yet in that area. Seems to have a mind of its own. And Daddybob may be right, Those little buggers are trying to hide, In my case I think it is toxins and heavy metals coming out as I have been told I am mercury poisoned thanks to ADA, And the skin is an eliminating organ. Guest guest
hi about the rashes, I have been watching the group for info before I receive my MMS, I have explored many alternative medecine for all kinds of reason and can tell you that if you do not check urine therapy you will miss out on a lot of valuable knowledge. Urine is recommended for skin and rashes and is part of many skin beauty product. My understanding of this is that urine is surplus of good stuff inventory in our body , cant be bad because we bathe in it in our mother belly . Like most people I did not want to have much to do with that but was suprised by the quantity if info on the web about it. One day I got a blister on my big toe from walking in ill fitting boots and put a bandaid for the night on it with 4 drops of urine in the bandaid pad. To my amazement , the next morning, the blister has disapeard and all skin was perfect like nothing happened . Then I deceided to really try urine therapy UT . Those that get rashes should use this opportunuity to get acquinted with UT by wetting the skin with urine before bed and see foir yourself the next morning. Baby sits in wet diapers for hours and still have baby soft skin so what does one has to lose to try it. PIPIOLIT [ ] Re: rashes "thetabird1" wrote:>>I have been watching this site for a while. Guest guest
It is problematic as I have to wear gloves in my work. Now it > is spreading to my other hand. I stopped the mms, and it did not > clear up. It continues to get worse, and really itches I am not clear. If you mean that you have to wear gloves because of your line of work, perhaps it is the gloves? (I have atopic dermatitis...and I never know what will cause, or when I will have a reaction...but it would not be weird for me to get a rash from gloves or a type of glove that had been working great before, or to have gotten something in a pair of gloves that caused a rash and I wasn't aware of it. So, could it be that you are more sensitive suddenly and it's the gloves you are wearing? Or: If you mean that you have to wear gloves to hide the rash...that sucks...I usually just ride it out. I often use baking soda to try and neutralize anything that might be causing it. Hope this helps even a little. C Never miss a thing. Make your homepage. Guest guest
I wear gloves as a dental hygienist. I am allergic to latex, but have been wearing nytrile with no problem for a while. My rash has gotten progressively worse and is spreading. Now I have it on both hands, and being off work since Friday doesn't seem to have helped. I will try the baking soda, do you apply in wet or as a powder? Thanks for your interest. DonnaUsually, when I have a rash on my hands, it means I have exposed myself to lemon juice(could it be that you are not getting the lemon juice off your hands that you are using to activate the MMS?) (I ask my family members to squeeze my lemons/limes, then use a dropper to add to MMS.), clorox, or some cleaner (sometimes just hand soap---did someone put a new one in your office? I used to work for a Dr.'s office and could not use the soap there.) and I use the baking soda to try and neutralize the agent. Oddly enough, one of my tricks is to wear gloves over baking soda to bed...another is to wash my hands and dredge in baking soda and let dry. What happens with me is that I get chemical burns on the under layers of skin, and that has to work it's way out. If I don't catch it right away, I have had giant blisters form. There are scars on my hands. So, if I am wearing gloves over a chemical burn, my rash will probably get worse unless I somehow get rid of whatever it is that is burning me. I never know when this will happen. Sometimes it won't bother me. It started when I was still a teenager. Strangest thing to have giant blisters on your hands and no pain (only that of the blisters themselves, which can be troublesome.). If, one the other hand it's something like poison oak/ivy, the best thing is antihistamine. C Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile. Try it now.
