Guest guest
My gut feeling here that it might be the Calcium.. some of our kids don't do well on it. Try taking that out first.. or try it with Magnesium to see if that helps.. but start low and titrate up slowly.. From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Sent: Tuesday, January 26, 2010 10:50 AM Subject: [ ] minerals hurt attention but result in other improvements... I just added molybdenum and calcium about 2 months ago and we've had really good improvements in some areas. The phenol reactions are gone and he started coloring and drawing for the first time ever (he's almost 8 years old). His speech/use of language has also improved significantly. Unfortunately, at the same time, his ability to focus and pay attention have greatly suffered (wasn't really that good to begin with). His teacher has been writing almost daily notes about this. I've had similar reactions to magnesium and also Zinc and therefore have not continued supplementing with these. I've seen such good results though I don't want to give up on this one. Has anyone had similar reactions in their children? Any ideas as to what I can do for him? thanks

His teacher has been writing almost daily notes about this. My son was calcium toxic, despite 2 years cf without any calcium supplementation. I had to give IP6 to remove the toxicity, and then give the nutrients that are required for proper calcium absorption, which for my son were magnesium, vitamin D, vitamin K, and lysine. Maybe your child is lacking one or more of the nutrients required for proper calcium absorption? > I've had similar reactions to magnesium and also Zinc At my house, magnesium required taurine for proper absorption. Guest guest
What are symptoms of one being calcium toxic? I ask because when I try to supplement, we seem to have problems. thanks > > I just added molybdenum and calcium about 2 months ago and we've had really good improvements in some areas. Guest guest
This is what happened to our son and he still is not better. What is the IP-6 and is it safe to try? > > What are symptoms of one being calcium toxic? Guest guest
> This is what happened to our son and he still is not better. What is the IP-6 and is it safe to try? It is a demineralizer. It works really well to remove iron and calcium from the blood [does not remove calcium already in the bones]. My son had excess of both. If your child only has excess of one, you might need to supplement the other. I started low dose and worked up. Dana
