Grape seed extract-phenols???

Hi all,

I just purchased a bottle of GSE to rotate amongst my son's anti yeast

supplements.He started giggling soon after having a capsule(also had apple=high

in phenols).

Is GSE really high in phenols?

Also for those with children that get the hysterical laughing just a word of

advice.I overlooked this for many years and now I truly believe he has a problem

with phenols.Don't wait as long as I did to try to lower phenols in diet.He was

doing really good for the last 1 1/2 since we cut way back until tonight.I

always thought it had to be yeast even when tests showed no yeast due to so many

anti yeast supps.

Just thought I would put that out there for those parents who haven't

>Yes, the peels and seeds of fruits are especially high in phenols.  My son

has phenol sensitivies and b/c of so many bad reactions of various

phenol-containing substances in the past, there's no way I personally would try

GSE with him.

Unfortunately, our son is very phenol sensitive and cannot tolerate GSE either.

I have tried it several times and each time he gets hyper, aggressive and

giggly. I am trying to find something else to treat yeast, especially since we

are planning to chelate soon. Jill

Well I gave him one capsule tonight before realizing it may be high in phenols

he also ate and apple .We have been avoiding the high phenol foods for 1 -2

weeks with a noticable difference in inappropriate laughing.Now tonight he is

back at it.I am truly convinced he is sensitive.

Yes. My son had major problems with phenols, so at first I had to give the GSE

with No-Fenol enzyme.

have you added molybdenum? This has eliminated the phenol reactions and also

resulted in a good improvement in my son in many areas.
