Hi ,

I wanted to ask if you had any information about Chlorella. I had a friend of

mine recommend it to me. He has studied nutrition & chinese medicine. I have

been taking it for about a month now.

I have also been feeling a little fluttering in my thyroid. I was wondering

if this has happened to anyone else with hypo after taking the supplements. I

was hoping it

was trying to work again.

My friend thought the Chlorella would help with the metal poisoning.

Funny story. About a month ago I got all gung ho to help my

progressive healing along and starting taking extra greens (Pure

Synergy) which have loads of good stuff like Chlorella. Now, I

already have chlorella in my vitamin supplement and you can feel the

energy from it when you take it. But, I decided to add. Big rule of

thumb when you are treating anything that has you down......GO.

SLOWLY. The bottle of greens recommended 2-5 capsules a day to

start. The WEBSITE for the product went more in depth and suggested

that people new to greens begin with half a capsule. So, in 3 days

time I had consumed about 7 capsules when I should have had only 1

1/2. Suffice it to say, while my body was wonderfully oxygenated and

purging junk like crazy, my detox symptoms were so bad I wanted to

die. LOL!!! Okay, well it's funny now. It wasn't then.

It took over a week off of that stuff to get back to feeling

relatively normal, again. I will resume taking greens as I think

they are wonderful for purifying the body and helping it heal itself,

but I will most certainly be going SLLLOOOOWWWWLLLYYY this time

around.

Chinese medicine uses body dampness and/or dryness when accessing a

person for acupuncture treatments. They state that some parts of the

body can be too damp or too dry indicating blockages in the meridian

lines of the body. Note: one part of the body is too damp while

another is too dry at the same time.

More than likely everyone suffering with candida has blocked

meridians. However during natural healing the body produces dampness

as part of the process to get rid of toxins, with dryness most often

caused by candida toxins making the all cells go rigid. Also during

natural healing the body goes backwards through every symptom,

illness, injury, etc. - these symptoms can involve dampness and/or

dryness as well.

I would say go ahead and take the chlorella. Candida sufferers can

benefit by acupuncture or acupressure treatments but " trying to "

affect relative dampness or dryness is counterproductive to getting

rid of the candida.

Cheers,

Bee

Dear Jeanne,

More is not necessarily better. Sometimes taking more of something

throws off the balance of other nutrients. It's probably best to

have no more than 3 tablespoons per day, except for short periods of

time. If you take more than you need your body will also just get

rid of it, which is a waste as well. You could muscle test it to be

sure.

Do you have liquid chlorella, or is it liquid chlorophyll?

I am taking chlorella in capsule form? Is this not good?

Do you do one or the other? I haven't looked for liquid chlorophyl yet?

Thanks

Dear Barb,

Chlorella in capsule form is great! If you can afford it you won't

need liquid chlorophyll.

==>Yippee! Always start on anything at the lowest dose (sometimes even

lower) and gradually increase them so you do not overwhelm your body

and create too many healing symptoms at one time.

Yes, for me, it is too much detox. This is expecially true if you have

any sort of heavy metal posioning

In fact, Chlorella itself is often contaminated with mercury.

I use Auromere' Licorice Herbal Toothpaste with Neem and Peelu. (Ayurvedic)

Whole Foods Market.

[ ] Chlorella

Ok, now that I am sold on the benefits of Chlorella to help with my

mercury and candida situation what specific brand is recommended?

I also recently tried switching from a natural toothpaste that

contained flouride to one that doesn't called Tea Tree. It made me

sicker each time i used it. Any specific brands recommeneded from other

extremely sensitive people like myself?

==>Hi MJ. You do not need to take Chlorella on this program; the

high " good " fats are the very best way to get rid of, chelate out,

heavy metals. Also Chlorella has caused some people problems, so I

do not recommend it.

==>I haven't been able to find a good toothpaste without fluoride

because they still contain glycerine which clings to the teeth is

hard to remove. The best alternative is baking soda and sea salt

mixed together and made into a paste with a little water or hydrogen

peroxide (H202). Or just use mix 50/50 with water, which I also use

for soaking my dentures.

Are any of you using this? If so, is it safe to use in the midst of

yeast/other issues? Dosing for a 33 lb boy?

Thank you!

If your son has mercury poisoning taking chlorella would be the best way to make

his situation substantially worse. It did for me.

I buy Source Naturals Chlorella for about $13.50 for 300 tabs (30 day supply)

at Whole Foods. There are probably a lot of health food stores that carry that

brand in the U.S.

> Also, are you familiar with Chlorella??

> What is your opinion of that?

I have used it an think it works, a bit. It also seems relatively safe to me and

probably works a bit better than alternatives like spirulina, and much safer

than chemical alternatives like Questran (Cholestyramine). Some people cannot

tolerate chlorella though, they get some kind of nausea / allergic reaction (?).

You need a reliable supplier, because chlorella can accumulate endotoxins (e.g.

with wrong growing conditions). Prices often seem outrageous to me, there is

like 10x or even 50x price difference between various products on a weight

basis, and the most expensive ones are not necessarily the best. I'm now using

Yaeyama chlorella from Jarrow, good price and seems OK.

try www.swansonvitamins.com

their Kyoto Broken Cell Wall Chlorella prices are the best I've found.  (their

300 tablet size is about half of what you paid) And quality is NEVER an issue.

I get ALL my lyme protocol supplements from them-- not only do they carry their

own brand-- but many brands you find in health food stores  (NOW, Planetary

Herbals, Source Naturals, etc)--- JUST CHEAPER!

I use Planetary Herbals Andrographis from Swanson's-- and all other

herbs/supplements (knotweed/resveratol, cat's claw, eleuthero,

sarsaparilla/smilax, etc.-- there's not much they DON'T carry)-- I use the

Swanson's brand.  I have not been dissatisfied....  I can get my andrographis

for less than HALF of what the local Vitamin Shoppe charges...
