Guest guest
I had breast milk tested during breastfeeding, after I had urine tested for metals, the metals were pretty high in urine, and in low range on breast milk, and most people/doctors recomend breastfeeding, so I did it and little one seems to be fine Very important to avoid drugs during pregnancy and birth, Good luck Natalia From: SunLoving <mbaldori@...> Subject: [ ] Testing Breastmilk for Heavy Metals Date: Sunday, January 31, 2010, 10:26 PM Â I am currently 6 mos pregnant and intend on breastfeeding again this time around. My son's DAN suggested I do the Porphyrines test beforehand to see how toxic I am. I have chelated in the past and collected urine afterwards and my lead, nickel and uranium levels were always high (but this is with a provoking agent). I feel like it would be more beneficial to actually test my breastmilk because even if my levels are high I may not have a chance of passing in the milk? Is it possible to test that instead of my urine? Have any of you done this? Thanks, Michele

Guest guest
I think your MD is wrong. I have not studied it extensively, but my guess is the benefits of breastfeeding will almost always outweigh the risks. Your baby will get pollutants from the formulas, too, along with a lower quality nutrition. Nothing is clean. Formula will give little immune boost, substitute enzymes, cattle/goat/non-human proteins that might not be tolerated, any contaminants from the manufacturing process (or from those animals themselves), and perhaps a false sense of security (that you are protecting your child). Instead, I suggest reducing your daily exposure to toxins by changing any cleaning products, storage materials (go glass, no plastic), hygeine products, organic diet and such. My guess is you live a pretty healthy life already. Congratulations, and I wish you a healthy baby. Guest guest
I think it was Metametrix, you can find them online, and you will have to call them to order container, insurance dont pay for it. If it were me, I won't do it again, would spent money on something else I would just be careful with food, meds, etc and just breastfeed any way, don't always believe a doctor, drugs and vaccines harm kids, not the breastmilk, my little one had no vaxs, natural birth and doing just fine, my oldest got injured from vaxs, not the breastmilk, and that real problem Much luck Natalia -- On Sun, 1/31/10, SunLoving <mbaldori@...> wrote: From: SunLoving <mbaldori@...> Subject: [ ] Re: Testing Breastmilk for Heavy Metals Date: Sunday, January 31, 2010, 11:57 PM  Right...I'm as natural as they come so I won't be taking any pharmaceuticals regardless. Guest guest
Thank you everyone!! I agree that breast is best and I have been struggling over this. My son will not be vaccinated and I intend on staying organic while he is being breastfed (may even go GFCF). I am going to TRY my damndest not to get an epidural this time. I caved previously with my first born son (who has Autism). He was also born at 36wks so I don't imagine I will need pitocin! If anything I will be trying to avoid terbutiline this time. Guest guest
it's not the epidural, but the pitocin. The epidural just makes it so you need more pitocin because you can't feel the contractions. At least that's what these folks are saying. Guest guest
Most of us on this group have come to the consensus that breast milk offers some protection to the brain from autism. Most of our kids began to get worse or regress following weaning to formula. Doctors also fail to tell you that formula has it's own metal contamination factor...as they usually have aluminum. Then the factor that most babies don't digest formula very well and thus are lacking nutritionally. It is known that some metals do pass in milk but they also pass in utero..so whatever metals you have, the baby is already getting those. However with breastmilk...there would be more protection for the brain and better nutrients for brain development. Tap water, bottled water and formula come with their own risks. I beleive that my son getting breast milk in his first four months afforded him some protection over his peers who never received breast milk. I think this might have contributed to why his diagnosis was PDD and not autism. You can get breast milk tested by Doctors Data Inc to see what you are excreting. I think the best chance to avoid autism is simply to avoid all vaccination for your infant. That's where the real metal exposures start coming in. New research is showing that kids with autism are more likely than kids without autism to have had medical interventions during childbirth. Why? This is of course has not yet been proven, but is likely due to a decrease in the delivery of oxygen to baby. Guest guest
Hi All, What kind of damage does Pitocin do? I was going for a " V-back " and doctor tried to induce my labor at 42 weeks by using the max dose of Pitocin for 8 plus hours . They finally gave up and offered me a c-section which I readily accepted. My second son has had a lot more issues than my first one. I'm wondering if it has to do with the fact that he/me didn't produce pitocin in the first place to get labor going or that I used Pitocin. Thanks, Farhin > > > > > > From: SunLoving <mbaldori@ .> > > Subject: [ ] Testing Breastmilk for Heavy Metals > > > > Date: Sunday, January 31, 2010, 10:26 PM > > > > > > Â > > > > > > > > I am currently 6 mos pregnant and intend on breastfeeding again this time around. Guest guest
We did not vaccinate our dd and I nursed her for 18 mths and she still developed autism. She started showing " signs " around 13 months. I very much enjoyed nursing her and would not have given that up but I have 9 amalgams I need replaced and think maybe that contributed to it (maybe in utero). Also had pitocin. She also did not receive the vit. K shot in the hospital (this is a standard shot and they do not need to ask the parent for permission to give). Not sure if the vit. K shot had any preservatives but I did not feel it was necessary. Just watch your child. As a parent you know what to look for. I had family members tell me there was nothing wrong but I knew (we also have a 10 year old with autism. Also nursed him not as long but he was fully vaxed until 2 1/2). Try not to worry (which is hard). If something is off then do AC chelation early. I thank the Lord for leading me to this group because with AC chelation I am getting her back. We just finished round 10 and she is doing great. Seeing big things with her smaller things with her brother. Take care, > > > > I am currently 6 mos pregnant and intend on breastfeeding again this time around. My son's DAN suggested I do the Porphyrines test beforehand to see how toxic I am.
