Andy says here that " adrenal cortex " is the same as " adrenal CORTEX glandular " . The word " glandular " here is a bit misused by the Nutricology company to mean " naturally extracted from the gland " as opposed to synthetic. As well, when talking about Nutricology products: Adrenal Cortex Glandular is NOT the same as Adrenal Natural Glandular, which includes the adrenal medulla as well (whole adrenal). All this being said, Andy has not pronounced one way or the other as to whether taking the whole Adrenal gland extract is acceptable. He has recommended ACE in the past. > > http://onibasu.com/archives/am/233143.html > <http://onibasu.com/archives/am/233143.html> > > Thanks in advance! > > > > > > It helps irritable people to be normal. Guest guest
Their whole glandular product is still available. http://www.luckyvitamin.com/p-3109-nutricology-adrenal-organic-glandular-300-mg-\ 75-capsules Their discontinuation of their extract product is what prompted my question. My next order will definitely be for the whole gland. > I have been using Adrenal Cortex for a while, but inadvertently ordered Nutricology Adrenal Glandular several months ago. The whole glandular seems to have a more calming effect on them both and they are less susceptible to melt downs. I don't know why the whole is better for my kids than the ACE. > > Murray has a book about glandulars and he writes that " whole adrenal extracts are most often used in cases of low adrenal function presenting as fatigue, inability to cope with stress and reduced resistance.
