Guest guest
Hello, You can start with doing a Hair Elements Test from Doctors' Data. Since the blood test for mercury and lead came back normal, then his toxic exposure is not recent. Samar > > My brother (25) has autism and has been severely regressing over the past year or so. He was always moderately autistic & could function and was verbal at least around family. He did OK in school and in occupational programs at school. Over the past year especially he has developed OCD that has gotten so extreme that he can't do anything anymore except sit on the couch for hours and takes hours to eat a meal, use the bathroom, take a bath, etc. He has gotten much less verbal. Lately he has even started wetting himself. He has lost weight. I am sure there are many more things but I live over 1,000 miles away and only see him about once a year. > > Anyway so I have been telling my parents for quite a while to take this seriously and figure out a cause and they finally got concerned enough to take him for a checkup. His blood work including lead and mercury came back normal. They also did an ultrasound and found a mass of some kind on one of his kidneys. It could be a stone surrounded by scar tissue, or a tumor, or something else. They are taking him back for a more precise CatScan to try to figure out for sure what it is. > > I was just wondering what is everyone's thoughts on this and what could be the cause. Is a blood test a good indicator of mercury toxicity or should they get a hair test..? Could the mass be mercury related or is this a separate incident..? Could the mass really be causing all of these symptoms..? >
Guest guest
I have to agree 100% with Samar as my son also showed normal reference ranges for lead and mercury but when we did hair testing it was extremely high. Guest guest
On the OCD, I'd look into PANDAS, which is caused from strep bacteria. For the kidneys I'd look into oxalates and see if that's an issue. Guest guest
Has he been given flu and H1N1 vaccines? How many mercury amalgam dental fillings does he have? Does he have a new mattress? What can/will they do about the mass on his kidney?
