Don,

I was right there with your wife about starting

Enbrel, but want to say once again how it gave me back

my hands. Even tho I'm off right now, and have been

off for about 2 months because of that sinus infection

that wouldn't go away and that I feel was a side

effect. I can feel my RA beginning to come for me in

my hands, but I'm hoping I can restart enbrel in a

bit.

When she decides, just make sure (as I'm sure she and

you will) she's assertive with asking questions and

pestering her Dr. if she's thinking something's not

right. I'm discovering that ALL OF YOU on this board

help me figure things out more often than the Dr.

Then the Dr. backs you all up;)

Hi Ann,

My wife has RA and is also pretty scared of moving up

her meds to Enbrel. She told me to write and tell you

you're NOT the only one afraid to jump on the Enbrel

bandwagon, lol. Anyway, her doc has " mentioned "

it (not necessarily recommended), but she realizes

that eventually her pain will be so bad she'll have to

give Enbrel (or similar) a try.

Good luck,

Don & Eileen
