Guest guest
Liz, Thanks a lot. I'll try making the kefir & the zinc. I'll try both.  He's high functioning at 11 we're behind most on chelation. Been on diet for years. He tested positive with a parasite in Jan. We don't know what kind. Explained the tests are hard to get a definitive result on. Went to a good alternative that used EAV testing. We're taking care of that 1st. His pupils are dilated all the time. That shows me metals. Date: Monday, February 8, 2010, 1:15 PM  If he is a picky eater and needs to gain weight, you should try putting liquid zinc in his drinks. You can get it here: www.kornax.com If you cannot smell or taste your food, it is less appealing to you. He may be using zinc to fight infections in his body and doesn't have enough of it for his sensory needs. In that case I would also go heavy on the antioxidants, however you can get them in him. You are doing fine using the coconut oil on the french fries. Also try making coconut kefir and putting it in smoothies for probiotics. I use about a cup of blueberries, 1/2 banana, 1/2 cup kefir, and cover the mixture with water (to about 1 inch over it). I think it's enough for about 3 small cups, my kids and I drink it almost every day. Maybe that will work for him, then again, maybe he needs the zinc first before he is willing!! Guest guest
phew...it was the bug ...I think. My daughter got it last night and she did not have any GSE. Thanks PWC ________________________________ From: G <luckylot@...> Sent: Mon, February 8, 2010 11:35:26 AM Subject: [ ] Re: Anyone ever get Sacc B as a dysbiosis on stool test?  That sounds like severe die off from the GSE. Four drops is a lot to start with, most people start at one drop and work up slowly as it is tolerated. A friend of mine and my children all had that same reaction in our kids (three kids) when we started treating for yeast aggressively. It could be a bug, because I know some crazy bugs are going around right now, both of my kids had it this past week, but I also know that starting too high with the GSE can cause major die off and vomiting can be part of that. Try backing off and starting slowly with the GSE and yes, keep the probiotics high at the end of the day. Sacc B is a good choice for bacteria. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > The culturelle(L. Guest guest
I have added back just 2 billion of the Sacc B at night. We were doing 4-6 billion previously. I don't want it to be so high that it shows up as a dysbiotic yeast, but I want to use it to keep the clostridia under control, which is what it appeared to be doing. He is six and on the smaller side for his age...L. Plantarum 500 mill and for the L.GG the most was 3 billion(kids version).. Appreciate any feed back, as I know he is better mood on the probiotics but I can't have him constipated. This is because it contains the L. Rhamnosus and L. Plantarum strains, so technically, you could use any probiotic that contains those. This product DOES contain the strep strain though and that has proven to be problematic for viral kids, so watch that. WE avoid that like the plague. > > > > > > The culturelle(L. GG)  fights clostridia the other probiotic that fights clostidia is L.Plantrum. My son had c -diff which was cleared with antibiotic. But the antibiotic seem to cause lots of sensory and adhd.  I suspect my son has a problem with clostridia due to the c diff. We found the L. Plantrum created constipation we are now using the cultrurelle probiotics for kids and he seems to be ok on the constipation front. We are also using attune candy bars(6 x yogurt) and candidse for yeast. > > > > > > I am interested if your son is has clostridia , what are some of the behavior issues you are dealing with....wondering if they are like my sons? > > > > > > > > > PWC > > > > > > > > > > > > ____________ _________ _________ __ > > > From: G <luckylot@ .> > > > > > > Sent: Sat, January 30, 2010 9:02:28 PM > > > Subject: [ ] Anyone ever get Sacc B as a dysbiosis on stool test? > > > > > >  > > > I am baffled by our most recent stool test for our four year old. The only " dysbiosis " noted was the yeast, Saccharomyces Boulardii! We have been using New Beginnings Probiotic Support which, in addition to a broad spectrum probiotic (18 billion CFU per cap), contains 2 billion Sacc B. We were giving 2-3 of these at night. Clostridium spp. did also show up as a +2 out of a possible +4, but it is not the C. Diff. strain, so we still don't know which it is since the standard microbiology stool test doesn't look for other strains. > > > > > > Anyway, our DAN! suggested backing off the Sacc. B. for a while and Doctor's Data (who did the test) thought it showed up, because it was just too high. No other yeast or bacteria showed up, although he did have an imbalance of hymolytic e.coli and hemolytic strep, but not dysbiotic. I am wondering, if the Sacc. B. prevented these and the clostridia from getting worse, but I don't know how I would know that. His stools are perfect, his mood swings are still there, but not nearly as bad as they used to be....what if backing off allows the clostridia to overgrow again? Since I stopped the Sacc. B. the only probiotic he is getting now is 6 billion Lactobacilis (Culturelle) until the order I placed for Custom Probiotics arrives. His stool test showed no growth for any of the Lactobacilis strains...even though I give him tens of billions of them nightly. So could the Sacc. B. be responsible for taking up too much space, not allowing it to grow or is > > something > > > else going on? I am just so confused since this strain of probiotic is pushed as a non-pathogenic yeast, helpful in addressing intestinal imbalances, yet Doctor's Data considers it dysbiotic... should I continue it at lower doses....could it really be dysbiotic? Help, I'm lost and don't want to reverse the progress we have seen. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
