Guest guest
Hi Listmates, My son use to have at least 1 BM everyday whilst he was on prescriptive antifungals (diflucan or nizoral) though the consistency is not always good (sometimes mushy and quite yellow). I stopped the antifungal after being on them for 5.5 months (found out through stool analysis that his gut was inflammed) and ever since his BM has not been regular and his tummy is bloated. Shortly after I stopped the medicine, his stool turned pasty like also. I try to help him pass out stool by increasing his magnesium citrate and introducing 's aloe vera juice. That helped with having a BM almost everyday but the stool was never formed, usually pasty and at best was very soft and mushy. I also started giving him enzymes with meals and treat yeast with mucostop and MCT oil. Nevertheless, things just gotten worse as he was having more incidence of runny stool followed by no stool the next day. His tummy was very big and hard on days when he cannot pooh and I was worried about impaction. Tried oxypowder for 3 days (on top of his aloe vera and magnesicum citrate at reduced dose) and that gave him BM everyday but very runny. I stopped the oxypowder and resorted back to aloe vera juice and magneisum citrate. For the past week, he could only go every other day; and when he goes, he passes out initially liquid BM followed by a massive volume of very soft stool. His tummy shrinks a little in size afterwards but is still very rounded and appears bloated. I am also worried that the explosive liquid stool scared him off and he may be hold back his BM. I am really stuck and depressed. Can anyone give me suggestions on how to make him regular again. Looks like I have messed up his gut big time...... Many thanks
