Guest guest
Pam We've tried lecithin and he's reacted. Very allergic to soy and peanuts, worst for allergies. So all the peanut/dairy free chocolate I've found on line has lecithin. One year, I thought the company was called No Whey Chocolate, well I googled this year, peanuts, nuts.....Maybe another company, I don't know! So I told my husband that would be a business. Dairy, Soy, Peanut free chocolate! They were so over whelmed with orders, again, think 2 Easters ago! We lost our dog last Sept! The kids were excited because they could ask Santa for a puppy. I said Santa doesn't carry life animals and when mom wants a dog we'll get one because I end up with all the work. That entire " fantasy " world is enjoyable but wears on ya, especially with the wants, food allergies........soon! I've never made homemade marshmallows. I should! Add that to my list of trying! Thanks guys for the all tips. Tammy [ ] Re: ot: Safe chocolate for Easter?/lecithin You might want to contact chocolatenecessities.com out of Bellingham, WA. Their dark chocolate says 'lecithin' in the ingredients but I don't know if that always means soy (I'm guessing, commercially, the answer is yes). Is this soy avoidance for allergy or on principle? My son did not toelrate soy products but could eat soy lecithin because it actually contains little of the protein. Looking at your original post, I see you have a reactive kid. I guess I post this for other people. Make an incredible Easter egg shaped GFCFSF cake and call it a day. I'm all for gently revealing the Easter Bunny isn't real. I like making things myself, too. 's has several molds for the holidays. Homemade marshmallows are THE BEST. Pam > > Milk, dairy and SOY free. Can not find soy free again this year. Have in past. Any one have any luck? > > Enjoy Life chocolate chips are safe. Can I just melt in those cute molds and make my own? Will that work? I can get Enjoy Life candy bars and chips here locally. > > This is for my nt 7.5 food allergy guy who has had more reactions this week. One in school in art, first contact reaction he's had in all his school years. Weird! Now we've been doing green tea since he gets no soda for a treat. Tummy ache last night! Gurrrrrrrr.....I'm so ready to pop the bubble on no easter bunny etc...... It's hard! > > Thanks > Tammy > > >
