Dyslexia and Migraines - OT maybe

Hi everyone,

 

I am just starting to find out about some health issues going on with my niece

and nephew.  My niece is 7 years old and has just started having

migraines/throwing up.  My older sister (her mom) has suffered from migraines

since she was a young teenager and has reached the point where she takes a

preventative medicine that basically knocks her out every night. -- so I know

there's a genetic component, but wonder if something environmental could be

going on as well?

 

Also just learned my 9 year old nephew has been having learning problems in

school (he's 1.5 years behind where he should be) and my sister thinks he may

have dyslexia.  I'm not sure how connected any of this is to

autism/ADD/ADHD/etc, but wanted to throw it out there in case anyone can offer

any lab tests, supplements, other testing/treatments that may be helpful in

getting to the underlying issues of what's causing these issues.

 

I've been doing biomed with my son the last 1.5 yrs due to behavioral/ADD types

problems, and he's doing wonderfully.  My sister's kids have always been the

perfect cookie-cutter dream kids, and I have no idea what the hell is going

on....I'm hoping I can help them in some way.
