I'm so happy for you. I wish your experience super easy like mine(since we're in

the same state) but regardless your experience was a good one.

[ ] Religious exemption-I got it-Florida

I posted the other day about this and thanks to all who helped. It was very easy

and I wish I had done it sooner. I went to our local health department here in

Florida and asked for a religious vaccine exemption. Was handed papers to fill

out handed it back in, filled out more papers nothing what so ever about

vaccines, all about finances, address, phone numbers things like that, then saw

the doctor on staff she asked if I had any question, no, I had to read the

exemption, fill in my boys name and sign. That was it. I had to wait 4 hour for

the whole process but I would wait 4 weeks if I had to. Well it was handed in

today, I don't expect any trouble, cross your fingers. I wish more people knew

about this so they can make the right choice for their families. Hope this helps

for someone else. Simone.

Here in California I filled the form, in 2003, then when I moved to another

country I filled it out again and never had to do it again.

Hi Simone,

Do you know if it matter what religion it is? Will they accept all religions? We

are Jewish and I don't think it says anywhere anything about medical issues. But

I would like to use it so that I can exempt my child from vaccinations, which I

know will be an issue when he goes to Kindergarten next year. I live in Florida

too.

Thanks,

Shiri

They don't ask and I believe they are not allow to. I just asked for a religious

exemption at the department of health I filled out papers (nothing to do with

vac or health) spoke with the doctor ( she only asked if I had any questions )

and then gave me the papers. Just like that. Simone.

Half the country offers philosphical exemptions. If you have a child with

vaccine injuries or allergies, you can have a medical exemption from your dr for

your family.

http://www.nvic.org/Vaccine-Laws/state-vaccine-requirements.aspx

If you are Jewish or any other religion that doesn't believe in abortion, you

can exclude a few different vaccines specifically based on the fact that they

contain aborted fetal cells.

If you are Kosher or a religion that follows Levitical laws of eating, you can

exempt almost all of them based on the fact that they are not Kosher. Some

contain pork, egg, bovine glandulars, etc.

In almost all states you can simply print out a letter and have it notarized

saying that you claim your religious exemption. Many have them on their health

depts website and you can download it and submit it.

I do not give them any other information -- my kids' social security numbers,

our phone number, etc. None of their business.

Warm Regards,

Summer McFarland
