I still miss her even >though she was sooooo bad! that would have been the husky in her kathy! the white shep is a real homebody... he doesnt go anywhere and never needs to be tied up, heck he doesnt even wear a collar with tags or anything! the sheps are traditionally very loyal and dedicated to their humans. we also keep a husky/collie dog and he is the wild one!! like kelly, he was born to run and was also quite a digger when we lived in the city. i had to bail him out of doggie jail so many times in the city, my husband was getting really mad as it cost $50 to bail him out each time. i tried to give him some freedom when we moved out here to the country but he ended up running all over the countryside and getting into heaps of trouble and costing us more money. so now our beautiful dog is on a long chain and while i know he dislikes it, there isnt much else i can do. i do let him off as much as i can when im out in the yard but as soon as i turn my back, he is off running down the road on an adventure!! the other day i had to jump on my bike and race after him and bring him home. darn dog! oh i could go on and on with stories about that one...lol. :*carolyn. -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Just chase the dog! LOL I have a beagle cocker spaniel mix that does the same thing. I thought I had her when I had a 6 foot privacy fence, thinking that she was a small dog and couldn't jump it. She proved me wrong. I stood there and watched her run from the other side of the yard and take off about 5 or 6 feet from the fence and clear it with at least a foot between her and the fence. I then tried putting her on a chain, but apparently the call of the squirrels are just too strong and so is she because she kept breaking the chains. We keep her inside now and walk her on a leash. Otherwise, she'd be all over the neighborhood. Tonya
Guest guest
LOL! Our dug out from under every fence we installed. Our current home has 2 acres so we put in an invisible fence. That @#$% dog took a running start and went right thru it screaming like a nut (we had it on the highest range and strength). After a while, I stopped chasing her and she would come home hours later and just go to her dog pen or on our front porch. Guest guest
I had an alley cat once that ran outside in the middle of winter! I froze my you know what off running after her in bare feet! One of my cats I have now - Gizmo loves to go outside. Once in the winter he sneaked outside because he got out when my Mom went to get the mail...he was outside for 2 hours before I got home from work! When I got home I heard meowing, looked behind an old broom leaning against the front of the house and there he was...poor baby was pretty cold! That Darn Cat! Guest guest
----- Original Message ----- From: Sherrie > I have 2 poms and they shed if I don't keep them brushed if you keep a long hair dog brushed it dosenn't shed as much Sherrie I have ten dogs and all but two (poodles) are long haired and shed. Two are Great Pyrenees. Talk about shedding! They blow their massive winter coat every year and it looks like a cotton ball factory exploded all over my house and yard. This year I have a friend who is going to spin and weave something for me from their hair. Might as well recycle it! Right now I'm in such a flare and having such a horrid time with my back that all of them need a bath and grooming and it's not getting done.
