Guest guest
[Please ignore previous post... two hair tests were posted at the same time and I substituted.] There is a low probability of mineral transport derangement. However, the elevated nickel in the presence of _not_ meeting the counting rules adds to this probability, as does the low lithium. So I'd have to say the chances that there is derangement are there. The aluminum and copper are significant, but could be an artifact of mercury. How are you supplementing? How are you chelating (dose, chelator, body weight)? What have you done to eliminate current exposure to aluminum and copper? Are you giving a multi that has copper? Please provide a link to the first test, which I cannot find. Hair tests CAN be useful during chelation. They should not however be used to determine when to STOP chelation. astroeater2003 wrote: > > Could someone look at our hair test? Guest guest
Micheal...thank you. Okay, I just downloaded it again Hair Analysis 1.PDF Milo's Hair Elements 2004. He is not taking a multi right now so I have no idea how the copper got there. He is on 12.5 ala/dmsa 3/11. Vit C, E, D3, Biotin, GSE, B6, sel, chrom, pot, molyb, mag, & milk thistle. 3-4x/day according to weight. He's 6 and about 55 lbs. > > > > Could someone look at our hair test? Guest guest
The 2004 test meets counting rule #4 (11 bars in the middle--Cr and K are graphed incorrectly by the software) so there was definitlely some mineral transport derangement back then. I would definitely not say the latest test is " worse " than this. I don't see zinc on your list. This could account for the copper elevation, and is essential during chelation. Quantities of each supplement would help. As well most of the Bs are missing. astroeater2003 wrote: > > > Micheal...thank you. Guest guest
Also check www.danasview.net/metals for sources of copper (pool chemicals, copper plumbing pipes, various foods, etc). Guest guest
I'm not surprised it's worse because you have only done 29 rounds. When were these rounds done - more recently or back then? I would take this as a sign that chelation is working and he is pushing out the metals. Lithium - what is his behavior like? If he has a lot of ups and downs (as mine did with low off the charts lithium), I would suggest small doses of lithium orotate until the behavior improves. (shouldn't take long). Cal/Mag - I would give small amounts of these. I give cal/mag/vit D powder (NOW brand) in a smoothie with blueberries and bananas. Taurine might help the magnesium absorb. Na/K - make sure he is able to get some good sea salt in him and adrenal cortex extract if he seems tired/irritable a lot. Selenium - supplement Selenimethionine. Aluminum - I would give a couple different kinds of magnesium if you can, it is so important that it is bioavailable for the aluminum to go down and get out. Lead - DMSA chelation. Copper - I would avoid ALA for awhile and just do DMSA. Supplement zinc if you aren't. That's what I'd do. > > Could someone look at our hair test? Guest guest
Thanks. I will take your advice and just chelate w/ dmsa for awhile and add those supplements. Thanks again for the feedback. I really appreciate it. I get so confused because he didn't regress he was born this way and I have to wonder if I'm on the right track w/ chelation. I'm sure he has some viral issues which I have yet to address. His titers are normal except for varicella which is way out of range. But he is always very low in arginine and very high in lysine and off the chart sulfate. Anyway, 4 years into biomed and I still feel I don't know what the hell I'm doing. Thanks again. > > > > Could someone look at our hair test? I'm aware that it is not recommended to have a hair analysis while chelating but it has been four years since the last one.
