Guest guest
My insurance company would not pay for diflucan either. my doctor always gave me samples. you don't need to take them everyday. I was the queen of yeast infections when I was on IV, so trust me I know. I think they may not pay because there are over the counter yeast solutions, ie: Monistat, etc. but that is only for vaginal yeast and so is diflucan. there are other yeast prescription meds out there that treat the infection throughout the body, and the hmo pays for that. I cant remember the name, but I am sure someone else on the list will come through with it. roe
Guest guest
Darcie- CONGRATS!!!! That is great...the IV. Don't forget your acidopholius~~ and I would take it 2-3 x/day, with the last one being right before bed. I take (and highly recommend) " Flora Source " by Sedona Labs (www.sedonalab.com). ANOTHER **NEW** PRODUCT that I just discovered from the health food store.... It is for natural yeast management..... It is called 'Candex' by Pure Essence Labs, 888-254-8000. You can ask your health food store to order it, or I guess you can call them direct (?). Acidopholius is JUST good bacteria...it does NOT kill yeast. If you are harboring yeast, you need garlic, capryllic acid, grapefruit extract, colloidal silver, etc. or the Rx Diflucan (which is stronger and more effective according to my pharmacist) than Nystatin. Glad we're back. sue in nj sue massie
Guest guest
My fatigue had increased the first weeks on LDN before lifting completely only after several months on LDN. Lucretia > > Well, it's official. After retaking a stool test, my levels of yeast have increased x3 from what they were before taking LDN. My Doc now wants me to start on a round of Sporanox. As well as a major ramp up in probiotics (Culturelle and Proboulardi). I'm weary of taking such a powerful prescription drug. I couldn't even tolerate Diflucan a year ago. It made me an absolute zombie and I couldn't get out of bed for two weeks and had zero symptom improvement. Not doing that again. > > Because of the yeast issue I haven't been able to stay on LDN, even at the lowest dose and even altering days. It's very helpful for pain. I feel my muscles release when I am on it. But it makes me very depressed and increases my brain fog and fatigue, two of the main reasons I sought out LDN> > > Please don't make any diet suggestions as I am gluten free and rarely eat sugar and dairy and almost never eat soy. Any thing else I would love to hear. >
Guest guest
- I don't know of any home test. - Yeast is in the gut, so it wouldn't be in the urine, it would show up in the stool. - Runny stool or constipation can be a symptom of yeast. Behaviors as well can be caused by yeast. One of the by-products of yeast is alcohol, which can cause crazy behavior. - Yellow stool can also be caused by yeast. It's a cart before the horse kinda thing. The yeast is caused by heavy metal toxicity. I have been treating my son for yeast for over 3 years nows with no results. He is very high in almost every metabolite. I work with a highly repected DAN. We have tryed every anti-fungal, pharmacutical and natural along with quite a few rounds of bio-film protocals as they have been updated. Nothing has worked for us. I wanted to start chelating a while ago but am hesitant to do so with his yeast not being under control. What to do? > > > > > > > > Warmest regards, Jen AKA Gabe's Mommy > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Yeast can be systemic and can show up in blood, urine or stool. An Organic Acid Test has markers for yeast. You can order from Great Plains Lab, Metemetrix, or Direct Labs. The first two require a Dr Signature, but I dont believe Direct Labs does. They will mail you the kit. I do all my sons OATs from home. Guest guest
I think some people are confusing a yeast infection noticeable through only urine with yeast in other parts of the body that may have other outward signs. > > > > > > > > > > > > From: TJ Werth <tj_werth@> > > > > > > > > > > > > Subject: Re: [ ] Resistant Yeast > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Date: Friday, June 4, 2010, 8:36 PM > > > > > > > > > > > >  > > > > > > > > > > > > You will never get the yeast under control until you chelate for a while.
