Guest guest
I get my shot yearly, and have had no adverse reactions. my rheumy insists upon it = what with our impaired immune systems, any old "bug" can really take us down. and to complicate matters, I work in a school with 950 sneezing kids! gentle hugs! Guest guest
Hi Sandy, I take Remicade and my rheumy insists on it. Remicade, Enbrel, Humira & Methotrexate specifically reduce your body's immune system as does having RA to begin with --- it makes sense to get the shot to give your best attempt to prevent it. (unless you previously have had a reaction to it). Guest guest
While you're thinking along those lines think about a pneumonia shot. You only need them 1x each 5 to 10 years and you don't need pneumonia on top of RA Annette On 11/1/05, Marcia Stoyle <marciastoyle@...> wrote: I get my shot yearly, and have had no adverse reactions. my rheumy insists upon it = what with our impaired immune systems, any old " bug " can really take us down. and to complicate matters, I work in a school with 950 sneezing kids! gentle hugs! My RA doc says that Humira and Enbrel are the same and that it's OK for me to get a flu shot. My General Practioner said to get one as soon as I am over this bronchitis.
