Guest guest
Dear Ralph,? It's a great idea.? If You have lots of money or want to do lots of fundraising there's North Star in Connecticut I think it is. ? Canine Companions (one of their training centers is on Long Island,? Suffolk County) trains autism service dogs free for the recipient. ? Another option -- and I think the most fun -- is to train a dog? yourself, which is what I'm doing for my daughter. ? For starters, there is a man named Hans who is helping owners train service dogs who will send You a beginning training with pictures, so your child can do it too if that works. ? There are wonderful dvd's for training service dogs (not necessarily for autism) called Teamwork I and Teamwork II. ? You're welcome to email me if You want more information.? It's a wonderful experience. ? As a result, can anyone recommend a reputable organization(s) that provides Autism Service/Therapy Dogs? FYI, we live on the East Coast. If you prefer, please do not hesitate to email me privately. In advance, thanks! Speak with Him Thou for He hearest. Spirit with Spirit can speak. Closer is Love than breathing, Nearer than hands and feet.
