Guest guest
Joyce, we had a very similar experience. We had to stop all supplements for 48 hours before doing a stool test and I could swear he was almost better off without them... I think I even posted about it a week or so ago. I've learned on this forum that many go on a " supplement vacation " for a little bit and then reintroduce supplements one by one to see if all of them are in fact needed. We contemplated that but because we have just started chelating (we did 5 rounds, one every Fri-Mon), I am afraid to take him off... In our case, we have stopped Enhansea (definitely caused him a lot of aggression, hyperactivity... which is a shame because he was doing well on it on the starter dose of 75 mg x 2 day)... but other than that - he is still on multi-vit (compounded), fish oils, E, extra C on rounds, and a truckload of probiotics (I'm not kidding you! ) Interestingly, others on this forum suggested to us that because we use a LOT of apple sauce and OJ to mix in supplements in to give to him - that he can be reacting to phenols (which apples and OJ is very high on) rather than supplements. So when we stopped giving him supplements, inadvertently we stopped apple sauce and OJ... I would like to test that idea... so need to look into what other fruit pures I can use to dump in all his supps in... Perhaps pear... I am not sure if there is a way to take all the supplements while ON round and not take anything OFF rounds? Somehow I don't think it is a good idea but I can't really substantiate that... We had my grandson stop all vitamins and minerals for the 3 day long weekend, and he seemed he was not near as hyper. We started him back last night, and he is very hyper again this A.M,Could it be possible he doesnt need all these supplements anymore?Could someone please comment on this for us. Would it be okay to take him off them for awhile? The only thing we chelate every other weekend, he should have them then . We have been giving supplements for over 2 years. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Joyce.
Guest guest
It's not an on/off switch. There is probably _a_ supplement that is causing this, and most likely something water-soluble or you wouldn't see instant effects. What are you giving? (Name, dose, kind e.g. " magnesium _citrate_ 800mg/day in divided doses with meals " ) stemcellsugars3 wrote: > > We had my grandson stop all vitamins and minerals for the 3 day long > weekend, and he seemed he was not near as hyper. > We started him back last night, and he is very hyper again this > A.M,Could it be possible he doesnt need all these supplements > anymore?Could someone please comment on this for us. > Would it be okay to take him off them for awhile? > The only thing we chelate every other weekend, he should have them then . > We have been giving supplements for over 2 years. > Any advice would be greatly appreciated. > Joyce. > >

Guest guest
Is it ok to give with other enzymes? He is already on lipase (for fats) and Zyme Prime. Guest guest
I am going to try today. Who knows - perhaps will be able to return him on Enhansa with the help of No Phenol. But also - you suggested that he's low on Mg (based on his hair elements test results) and I just Googled " symptoms of low Mg " and OMG! It's like I wrote this about our son: MAGNESIUM, CHILDREN & ADD Signs of low magnesium in children include - restless, can't keep still, body rocking, grinding teeth, hiccups, noise sensitive, poor attention span, poor concentration, irritable, aggressive, ready to explode, easily stressed, growing pains , you should start charging consultation fees! ) ________________________________ From: Ross <mrossgrp@...> Sent: Tue, April 6, 2010 1:36:26 PM Subject: Re: [ ] Wondering about supplements. Guest guest
You should also use molybdenum if you are not already. This resolved my son's phenol issues and resulted in a significant improvement overall for him. We do 1200 mg of Enhansa with no phenol issues. He gets 1000 mcgs of moly a day. > > > > > > > > > > > > Joyce, > > > > > > > > we had a very similar experience. Guest guest
> We had my grandson stop all vitamins and minerals for the 3 day long weekend, and he seemed he was not near as hyper. It sounds like he either does not tolerate one or more of them, or he no longer needs one or more of them. Dana
Guest guest
, that's interesting... he has some molybdenum in his compounded multi mix but it is only 75 mcg... How did you come about using it to manage phenol issues? Can you let me know how much your son weighs? And what improvements have you seen? Sorry for all the questions! Pam, I sometimes think about starting him back again on the starter dose (75 mg x 2 day)... but I am too afraid because he was pretty nasty when we took him off (he was on 150 mg x 2 day)... Perhaps if I figure out this phenol issue... Lena ________________________________ From: <ckrupa3672@...> Sent: Tue, April 6, 2010 4:24:51 PM Subject: [ ] Re: Wondering about supplements.
