Guest guest
If you know someone who can tape it, it's worth the effort. It will be available " On Demand " on HBO so someone could tape it. Danes is really remarkable in her portrayal of Temple and it gives new insight into the sensory over-load these kids are under every minute of every day. The " hugging machine " was fascinating. My kids are also " deep pressure seeking " so I related to this part... and I have a friend that is considering ordering this item for her son to use daily at home... and now I am further convinced that it would great for her son!!!!! And many others!!!!  http://www.southpawenterprises.com/Steamroller-Deluxe-P96.aspx  From: Tammy Kuhn <tkuhn1charter (DOT) net> Subject: Re: [ ] OT: 'Temple Grandin' is a tribute to a unique woman' Date: Saturday, February 6, 2010, 6:34 PM  I've been seeing the ads for HBO. Guest guest
She seems like a nice person, but the way that people are using her interviews and twisting her words to their direction really has me angry. The neurodiverse have her quoted saying that if everyone were cured of their autism there would be no more art, etc. and they would all be like " yak, yak " and then there is Age of Autism that conveniently left that part out and portrayed her as great and made sure to include what she said about dietary intervention, etc. (which of course the neurodiverse left out). It's all enough to make me gag. I wish they would quit messing with what she says and that someone could just give her some authenticity in the press....whatever. > > From: Tammy Kuhn <tkuhn1charter (DOT) net> > Subject: Re: [ ] OT: 'Temple Grandin' is a tribute to a unique woman' > > Date: Saturday, February 6, 2010, 6:34 PM > > Â > > I've been seeing the ads for HBO.
